Exclamation Zaino Question!

OK
i emailed the guy at Zaino and i asked him what are the absolute MINIMUM things i need to get the zaino shine. And he told me Z1, Z2 and Z6. Now, for all you zaino pros out there, how would i go about using it? Would i use the same process that was outlines in the previous "how to use zaino" thread or would i need to go about it in a different way? Some of the products mentioned in the previous thread arent being used in this process so how should i go about using just Z1,Z2 and Z6? I would probably buy the mothers clay bar system on my own.

thanks

It comes with instructions. IMO, I would get ZFX instead of Z1.. MUCH faster, and better, Sal Zaino even said its better.

I just sent you some files for Zaino that I had laying around. Good reading material too.

I also heard that as well, Molson. I hope to get some next week and give it a try?

Shogun99, where are you from, are you around Toronto? If so talk to aircooln on the grandsontario site. He gets it from some barber shop there.

If you are cheap and want the bear minimum, like he recommended here's what you do!

1) Wash the car with DAWN dish soap to remove all the previously built up wax.

2) Dry the car off

3) Apply Z1 over entire car (sparingly)

4) Apply Z2 directly over Z1 (Sparingly). DO NOT WIPE OFF Z1

5) Wipe off Z2

6) Spray Z6 Sparinly in 1ft x 1ft sections and wipe off.

You're Done.

However, if you want your car feeling and looking the best here's what you do.

Products: Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7 Z**- Whatever the claybar is...12 I think?!?!

1) Wash with Dawn Dish Soap

2) Claybar the car per instructions found on Zaino's website

3) Wash car per instructions via Zaino's website

4) Dry Car off

5) Apply Z5 via Zaino's instructions found on Zaino's webstie and wipe off

6) Apply Z6 per instructions

7) Wait 24 hours and repeat, using Z5 until your swirls are lessened to a desireable amount, or use Z2 for it's optical properties.

Now, why do you need ZFX and how does it replace Z1? ZFX is an accelerator that helps the product cure faster. It allows up to NO more than 3 coats in one 24 hour period. If you use ZFX you do not need Z1!

If you want your car to turn out the best, then go to www.zainobros.com and do some reading. It makes it much easier on people like me, who are willing to type it up for you, who take the time to rewrite something that is plainly visible.

I love it, doing it tomorrow. Only need a few drops of ZFX to make it work.

Panacea....thanks for your help
but man, you dont help someone by telling them its was a pain in the ass to do so. Id rather have waited for a response than have one that written by someone who sees it as a burden. Maybe next time i WILL figure it out on my own...

PS. cheap? wtf who ARE you?!

No, it's one thing helping someone out, it's another thing to have 5 different threads having all the same info, and also having a website that explains it better than any of us. I didn't say it was a pain-in-the-ass! I said it makes it easier on me! Sure, I could point you to the threads, and sure I could point you to the website, but I didn't. So, in point, it's partially my fault for replying, but oh well. It gives me something to do in my boring life.

alright alright....i see what you're saying. Guess we both got a little...****ed. Anyway, thanks for your help but i just ran across another problem. I heard that if im using Mothers clay bar (which i am) that i shouldnt use the lubricant that comes with the bar because it leaves behind oils. Is this true? ANd if so, i was thinking i could still use the lube that comes with the clay bar but then just use some dawn and clean the car again, is that a worthwhile idea?

ps. last thing, will Z2 and Z5 give me the same results? which is better?

thanks again

for the clay bar, you can just use soap and water for the lube.

Yeah, use soap and water for the claybar lube.

Z5 is a swirl mark reducer, whereas Z2 is a gloss enhancer which makes the paint look shinier and wetter looking.
