does ur car have creaking and poping noises? if so look here

ok my car is no creak, and pop free from the break area, the problem WAS the CALAPERS, after my passenger side caliper froze up open, and would not close, my drivers side rotor was destroyed basically, gouged bigger than crap, and nothing was left of the pad, were the passenger side look brand new, but firestone said that the reason it did this was the aluminum caliper, with the steel piston that caused it to freeze, but i now have a new set of calipers, with a lifetime warranty, lifetime pads, and new rotors, and no more poping, or scraping or anything of the sorts, pix to follow soon and oh yeah 463.00 for the whole setup

Did it just suddenly freeze up on you? My car been creaking for about two weeks now when I apply the brakes and I don't want the caliper to freeze up on me?

my brakes creaked for a while, but its not really the creaking you need to worry about, its the popping and grinding noises at low speeds, i havent had time to post pictures yet but the drivers side pad is almost gone, and the passenger side looks almost new

hopefully now I can start to look for possible problems as to why this is also happening to me. At first the popping started when I was around 15K miles, and I have still not had it fixed to this day, and it is even more recurring than ever before. I only get it when I jerk the wheel, or make a turn around a corner, or when I change pavement height on the drivers side.......i.e. a driveway or speed bump.

first the dealer try to say that there was a loose component in the suspension, so they tightened everything up. Still had the noise. Then another dealer try to give me the TSB crap for the factory sway bar bushings. Still had the noise. Then in a desperate attempt to pin the problem on my eibach springs, the same dealers said that my problem was one of the coils hitting against the upper strut mount, because the eibach coil was defective, which I knew was untrue. So I sold the eibachs (which werent defective after thorough inspection) and got the H&R's which were to my liking anyhow. Still had the noise. Then they tried to say that these new coils had caused my front upper strut mounts bearings to fail, so I went to stock upfront for a week, had another dealer change both front upper strut mount housings, and low and behold same noise with the stockers upfront. Then they tried to say after that, the problem was due to my rear upper strut mounts in the rear (with the H&R's to their benifit) so of course i wasnt covered by warranty in the rear. I examined the rear myself thoroughly and found nothing "stripped out" as the dealer had put it.... frustrated, I put the H&R's back in front, and that is they way things have been since 3 months ago.

recently I noticed the "pop" is getting more frequent and louder even, and i fear that I may loose the entire suspension one day ... and even worse, I had my brakes inspected the other day, and the front ends are completely shot, rotors warrped, pads gone and this was apparently due to my "driving habits" as the dealer so put it. i even try to reason with a GM rep, and basically he said that ultimately it was the dealer that decided if it was a warranty issue or not WTF?? I thought GM honored warranty to reimburse the dealer, if they can deny warranty, why cant they approve it???

here I sit with bad brakes which dealers refuse to warranty, and a 2 year old in my rear seat, despite the MILLIONS of TSB's I present to them, knowing that they know there is a problem
