How much is a computer to read our codes? Just to read and clear. Around $400-500 ?

My SES light came on intermittently, then just stayed on. Picked it up from the dealer today, injectors #3 and #6 were bad. It wasn't cheap.

Sounds like you need a trip to your local auto place (someplace that scans for free).

probably what the problem is. first thing when you have problems like that is check everything to do with ignition and fuel. had a similar problem found out one of my cables was messed up bought new ones at autozone. also whenever replacing the sparkplug wires or spark plugs dont forget to buy the antisieze solution comes i a little pack for 99 cents. saves the boots from dry rotting and just baking to the plug. keeps the plug from also rusting in the block.

Just went to the dealership to get the SES light issue taken care of. They said the problem was the gas cap. Don't know how it was the gas cap but I'll take their word for it....for now. Anywho, the dealership replaced the gas cap and now the SES light doesn't come on anymore. You think they just did a quick fix to get me out of there or could that really be the cause of an SES light?

If the cap doesnt seal....its possible to get oxygen in the gas line which supposedly throws the SES. Thats why you turn the cap till it clicks. I've had this happen on my GA and our old 96 Tahoe

yea if you dont tighten the gas cap enough you will get an SES light, I dont know why they replaced it though unless you had a bad seal

Yes, it is a pain in the a$$, but required. As far as I know, it is required by the government as a means to tell the driver there is a problem in general (gas cap, line leak, etc). The reason for this is that a bad or missing gas cap is able to leak uncombusted fuel vapors back into the environment. My Ford has a special gas cap light, so you don't have to guess if it is a "real" problem or just that.

I have the Emissions code now, but a new gas cap did not do the trick.

Any other ideas guys and gals???

This should be quite obvious, but it's quite important to heed an SES if combined with any of the other idiot lights (oil, temp, etc.) At least in this case, you'll have a good clue to what the problem is. (If you're lucky, it's just a sensor or something electrical.) Also if I remember right (from reading, not personal experience thank goodness), a continuously blinking SES light (no scan tool or jumper plugged in) means something major is wrong and you'd better shut down.
