Shifter Stuck In Park

my 05 I have been driving back and forth to work just fine.
hopped in it to go back to work after my lunch break and she wouldn't move out of park.

Starts fine, the car was running, the shifter button moved in but wouldn't move back.
I could hear the relay clicking when I put my foot on the brake so I know the switch was working.

the only thing that has changed was I the FR caliper was replaced last night. I'm hoping maybe the sensor saw some air in the lines thus not letting me put it back in drive. I honestly just do want to tear the center console off to change the shift lock solenoid.

I'm going to double check brake fluid and fuses first.

what is my option to bypass this if the solenoid still doesn't work after checking everything?

There is no sensor in the brake system that would detect air, and nothing in it that would prevent the shifter from moving. There's only a couple switches under the dash that detect when the pedal is depressed, and the actual mechanical release that is activated by the button on the handle. My guess would be something failed with that. You'll need the take the handle off and check it out.

I have a parts car and was just going to swap everything over. Took the handle off and started to disassemble the center console. I was about halfway down and thought, let me try something. I pushed the yellow rod down, and sure as shi* I was able to get out of park. the white plastic in the handle wasn't pushing down far enough to unlock it. I'm just glad I didn't have to tear the whole center console out. I changed out the gray button, but that didn't work, it was the handle assembly. Changed them out and off to work i went.

I figured it would be something like that. Stuff gets old and wears out. Just needed a different shift knob with a button that worked.
