This is the first interesting looking Mitsu in a while, too bad it could be a dying gasp for the company.

The back of the car is a little funny looking, not from the back, but on the side near the back... rear fender is a little odd. Probbably would take some getting used to.
I am pretty interested in taking one of these things for a spin. A 3.8L DOHC V6 with a 5-speed sounds interesting to me. |

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Mitshubishi and would love for them to continue selling their cars here, but this is a let down. Maybe seeing it in person would sway me.

I don't like the new front end look of Mitsubishi, kind of odd looking on every one of their cars. This would be a nice car if it is going to be affordable. Judging by the last time I looked at an Eclipse I would say that the V6 with a stick and leather will probably be around 27 grand.

0-60
Anyone have any guesses about 0-60 time? It'll have a 260HP engine with a 6-speed and weight should be around 3100-3400lbs. I calculated a guess based on a time of 7.2sec for the current model and multiplying like this:
7.2sec * (HP-to-weight-old)/(HP-to-weight-new) I got 5.7 sec. Sounds too good to be true, although still not in Evo territory. On second thought, the addition of a 6-speed will probably bring this figure down even more. Don't know how much, but judging from specs I've seen for the Accord V-6 Coupe, it could be a lot.
