2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Now I know I created a thread with the spy pics of the Eclipse. No where to be found.

hmmm....i hope that the real eclipse will be at NAIAS this year...last year they had their hybrid concept there...i liked the color a lot, hopefully Mitsubishi will offer that color on the new eclipse

well, the last Eclipse shared some similarities with the Chrysler Sebring Coupe, and Dodge Stratus Coupe...i've read somewhere that they next generation designs for all three cars will no longer resemble each other as much...which is a good thing, IMO...their interiors were almost identical

i'm anxious to see what the new Eclipse, Stratus, and Sebrings will look like

That little silhouette of an image makes it look pretty damn good. Reminds me a little of the Nissan 300Z and an Audi TT coupe.

I believe the 2006 design went back to the original roots of its model before 2000...the more rounded "bubble" design like the GSX / GST era.

dunno, I know that the half electric/half gasoline twin turbo was only for NAIAS. I thought I read this new eclipse may have a version that uses the EVO's engine/turbo.

i read it was a 3.8 or something making 260 hp, but i could be wrong...

car and driver said it was going to be bigger than normal "based on the galant platform" the spy pics they had on there had the car covered well but it looked like a toned down version of the concept somewhat

They are the same cars, built here in North America...they're the diamond-star cars...used to be the Eclipse, Laser, and Talon. Now it's the Eclipse, Stratus, and Sebring. Chances are really good that it will be all three on the same platform again.

It looks like a mix of the Current and 2nd Gen Eclipses, to me
