Its almost like a recall without recalling anything mileage shouldnt matter. I would go to a different dealer or tell them that your going to call GM complain about them.

yeah i'll have to try that, it's getting so bad now, at this point I could tell them it could become a safety issue

Its a service bulletin not a recall, meaning it will not be covered outside of factory warranty, and if it was then you are extremely lucky!! Glass through GM is very expensive. If you want it replaced and have to pay for it go through an aftermarket glass shop. GM warranty times on these repairs are as follows. Replace Front Window Glass 0.5 hrs
Replace Rear Window Glass 0.6 hrs
Clean or Replace outter belt molding 0.2 hrs
to Bend Flange add 0.1 hrs

So the most labor you can have in one window is 0.9 hrs
So 1.8 for 2 windows, so maybe $150-$200 labor, not 300-400 as i've seen some
of you say, thats a rip off!!! And be carefull about going to another dealer you've never been to. Once they see you've never been there they will blow you off cause they know you want something for free. or they will do something for you in hopes of sucking you in for more work in the future.

Saber326 Still kinda new, but learning
has anyone bought a window from a junkyard? i have some really bad vertical scratches all around the middle of the window that go all the way to the bottom on the outside on the passenger side of the car. i am a mechanical engineer and when i replace the window i am going to analyze exactly how to prevent this from happening. hopefully i can promise you guys a cheap fix with some instructions. i just want to know if anyone has purchased a window from a junkyard and how much it cost them. i will be removing the window myself. a lot of times at the junkyard they charge for removal of the part you want. just wondering if anyone has done this. and how much the junkyard charged them cuz i dont want to end up getting overcharged. thanks.

My front windows have tons of scratches even after the dealer replaced them under warranty claiming that it won't happen again. BULL****.
My neighbor has a 04+ Grand Prix and I noticed that his are scratched too.
I guess on some cars, you are supposed to clean the tracks often?
