I have had my windows replaced under warranty but I had to look after the re-tinting, which was $60 cdn. I went in to the dealer with the TSB # and no hassle.

so anyone know the verdict? i have outside scratches on my drivers window.......if i was to replace the window, what do i do to fix the track so it doesn't happen again?

i have exterior scratches, and im considering tinting it anyways... it makes no sense to tint if the scratches are on the inside, but mine are on the outside of only 1 window (4 door)

Wink window scratch

They have new tracks that are installed with the windows. They did with my 2 front ones. A glass shop did mine as I had him re-tint at the same time. Gm covered it under warranty.undefined

sorry to hear that we all have the same problems with our GA's both my GT and my wife's GT had the windows scrath and tint scared up.... I had pontiac replace all windows in both cars and replace the window trim, also got them to pay for the tint to be replaced on 2 vehicles!!! Our chrome wheels started to pit up... they replaced all effected wheels. Then I had a problem with a "bubble" that popped up on my dash... the replaced it too... hope your service department can handle your problems... the only fix is replacement of the window seal

So how many of you got all windows and tracks replaced? How much was it?

I am gonna have to get rear retinted because it's too light. Now I have to decide if I wanna replace all 4 windows in my car.

I only have extended waranty left, which covers anything mechanical / electrical. The dealer replaced the regulator and track for one of the windows when it failed to close properly, even the window trim while the door was apart, but won't replace either of the windows itself even though they are scratched alot. My tint is scratched, and one window it getting a bald spot in the tint. "It's only a bulletin, not a recall" they said. And after 36,000 miles the bulletin means nothing. They told me $700 for 2 windows with labor, plus I'd have to tint them again. I'd hate to spend a grand on my windows, especially if this could happen again. Maybe we can somehow get GM to consider making a recall for this problem? Maybe try to get them to see it as a safety hazard or something. When the sun hits my windows the right way, all I see is scratches.

700 US Dollars just to replace 2 windows? And this excludes any labor regarding the tracks? That's really expensive. WOW.

My warranty ended a loong time ago and I was gonna pay for this out of my own pocket.

I think it was $700 altogether, $250 per window and another $200 to install them.

I guess window(the part itself) is expensive. I guess the only thing I can do right now is taking the doors apart to widen the track gaps. I could also apply some scratch remover to see if it helps anything. I am just sick of hearing the scratching noise everytime I roll the window.

Has anybody with an '04 had this problem yet? I got my windows tinted about 7 months ago and I have not seen any scratches in the windows or the tint. I'm wondering if they corrected this problem in '04 ...?

I just called my local dealer and they wanted $390 to replace driver side front window glass for 02 4 door GA. That prices includes parts and labor.

I think I am gonna live with it. I am only gonna tint rear and not use rear windows at all. Simple.

I just found a local glass shop that will replace one window glass for $190. Much cheaper than dealers.
