The new ride

well as of saturday morning.. it's hot as hell and i didn't feel like screwing around with taking my stuff out of the car i have now and then running to the bank.

on to the car.. it's a 1 owner 2003 Outback with 95k on it.. not my pics but hell i'd take the same ones anyway. they are going to detail the outside before i take it. sales guy said something about hitting the paint with a rotary polisher. only thing is it's black.

i still have the pontiac. but yeah i do see a pattern. it will be nice having a car where i don't have to fix something right away or deal with body rot.

you remember i had another subaru before the outback i got now..still got that one which will be getting hauled away soon.

don't have another set to put on my old outback. got it for 8400.

it's way cleaner than that silver one i looked at. that silver one had rust beginning on the wheel arches in the rear. it's drove nice and smooth. it's got all the heated options except the heated mirrors.. heated seats and the heated spot under the front wipers.

the wheels on it are super clean as well

at least the paint and body are good on this one so maybe i'll actually wash it.. first subaru i gave up on after the first winter, when the shitty rust repair the place i bought it from did. actually waxed that a couple times.

the 98 outback i haven't had long enough to do anything with and i partially didn't care so all that got was pressure washed every couple weeks at a car wash bay.

glad i never got around to installing the hella 500's in the 98. i'll throw those in the 03 and do the drl disable and that's as easy as unplugging one plug.

might throw some wax on the new one when i pick it up. depends on what they do with the rotary polisher.

figured the rough miles for it being 11yrs old and these people drove less than i do..roughly 8600ish a year.

this might give me a reason to break out the polisher and wax and whatnot collection again

It pogo bounced because he cut the springs. Usually uou only see hondas do that. It def wouldnt do that with coilovers

Anyway, I think you should take care of this one... curious to see how well you can maintain a car.

i can maintain a car i just don't want to do major work on them anymore. so buying something that needs nothing right now worked. i maintained the pontiac hell it even got a new engine with only 300 miles on it..

depending on what they do or did to it i'll probably be doing a tune up.

the whole oil separator plate that decided to start leaking which required the engine being pulled and i don't have an engine hoist anymore. the garage down the road wanted $700 to start with not counting the shit they would break getting the engine out. and the cv axle that would need to be changed eventually since the boot was torn.

the 1st subaru was pretty good to me only requiring a couple non wear parts..one being the filler neck due to subaru putting a plastic shield on the bottom which collected sand and rotted it out. the other being the center drive shaft which i only replaced because a couple of the u-joints were worn..

gonna ask the kid when i go back to get it exactly what fluids got changed and depending on what he says i'll probably be doing the gear oil..
