Had the day off so I messed around some more. I detailed the engine bay and took the stripe off, but left the scoop in plasti dip. Can anyone tell me how to get the corrosion off the metal pieces in the engine bay? Elbow grease cant get it off and I'm afraid to use battery cleaner on it, any ideas? Here's some shots from my garage. It's storming here so I pulled a sleepy.

Plati-dip on the scoop makes it look like a fake stick on scoop, IMO.

Still not feeling it, from the pictures it looks like somebody was too cheap to paint the whole hood.

Simple green? All that shows up on google for "fast green" is the car out of the fast and furious movie.

Simple green. You can buy in concentrated and dilute it in a spray bottle. Works like a charm. Come to think of it, I'm out of it. I'll pick some up before I do my TA. Highly recommended. That gunk degreaser is good stuff as well. But you can't let it sit as long as you can simple green.

If I can throw in an opinion, I think the scoop would look cool in red.

The problem isn't the color or execution. It's the fact that you have no other matte black parts to make a cohesive color theme.

It's like wearing a ****ing red clown nose without clown shoes.

Exactly why I thought about doing the rims as well, I feel like that would make the scoop flow better and maybe change the minds of the people that don't like it.

If I were to do that, then the calipers will be painted red while I have the rims off.
