2002 Mustang GT

OK, so here's the deal. I went to sell my truck for $5500 on craigslist and ended up getting 12 different people interested in buying it. This guy needed a truck for his job as soon as possible. He offered to straight up trade this car for my truck.

Details:

115,000 miles
straight car, nothing wrong with it except an O2 sensor needs replaced.

My truck was giving me a lot of headaches lately as far as SES light with possible mainfold gaskets needing replaced, cruise control broke, ebrake broke, fuel gauge worked at random times, speakers were out of a home stereo. Ect.

Figured why not give it a shot? So this is what I ended up with. Got it Monday night and had all the paper work done today on it. The car runs perfectly fine and the insurance was actually $13/6 months cheaper than my truck

Bad part: Large dent in the quarter panel (hit and run) which wont take much to pop out.

Here is a couple pictures. It needs a good clay bar detail and and interior cleaning as well as the headlight restored, but I'll do that Friday morning because we have a big storm coming tomorrow here.

Those tails have condensation in them or are they just wavy like that?

Get some sequential tails

Not sure what you mean by wavy, but it could just be my camera. My phone doesnt do well with low lighting.

That's in the plans. I have a lot of plans for this car, but they will only come one at a time and very slowly..

P.s he also just put new tires, brakes and a battery in it.

First thing I'm doing before mods is getting that O2 sensor and the dent removed.

I would say, bad call with a mustang. But with a straight up trade, I can't argue .

So is it an auto?

Yeah, its an auto. Downfall, but oh well. I'll get a stick when I can afford a "sunday funday car".

I'll get interior pictures on here Friday. I need new floor mats, and its the tan interior with leather seats.

I'd probably just go with clear corners..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-04-FORD-M...f5a62d&vxp=mtr

Anyway, quick question for you guys. Can a exhaust leak throw a code? The car is louder than stock. Hands down. I'll try and get a video, but the guy told me the car is completely stock. My fatass cant really fit under this thing, but I took a look and it all looks stock, and it has rust on it pretty bad. So could there be a hole in the exhaust throwing a code and making the car louder?

I had an exhaust leak and didn't throw a code. Depends on where the leak is, but I would doubt it. You would know if it's leaking. It has a sound to it. I'm not sure how to explain it, but when you hear it you know.

auto will work for now. Get to know how to drive a car like that first. But over all, legit trade.

Did I just get an approval from you? I thought it was a hell of a deal for what my truck was compared to this car. I had a lot accessories on the truck so that helped I suppose. I have a lot of plans for this car, but itll just take some time to build up some money (girlfriends dont help)

Yeah you did get an approval. You'll still have enough room to DD that car. That's my favorite body style mustang, only gripe I have on those cars is the ****ty dash set up, and I hate the position of the shifter. Other than that, I love that body style. Need to get some cobra tails for it for sure.

Yeah the shifter is way too far forward for my liking, but itll do. DD this car is perfectly fine with me. He just drove it to chicago and back this last weekend so I dont doubt it driving to and from home three hours north. I love this body stlye over all of the other ones. I'm just going to tint these tails for now. I've already ordered it and everything. Not looking to drop a ton of money on mods until I get the dent fixed and the O2 sensor replaced. Thanks for the approval though!

Yeah, its the 4.6L

What are your plans

Cams are stupidly priced I believe for that car. Cant remember if its the 4.6 or 5.0. But years back I looked it up it was 2k for cams..

Nothing big as far as engine mods. Maybe a couple bolt ons, ect. I've been looking a lot at exhausts. So many options out there I dont know what I want. but it will be lowered, the chin spoiler, maybe cobra rims, tinted tails, and I would love to do a full interior swap to black. Tons of plans, just no money for it.

Well it doesn't help that the 4.6L needs 4 cams. I could see why it would be expensive.

Um.....his motor is the SOHC version, so 2 cams.
You're thinking of the Cobra motors.

Not bad. All stock?

There's a ton you can do to these, that I know of. I do know that you'll be looking at boost if you actually want to make power.
