Exclamation locking lugs.

So for a little now ive been searching ALOT for "the best" lock lugs out there. Ones that are tougher then most to get off.

At first I found a set I really liked. They are called kyo-ei dency 2000 lug nuts. Sadly they are discontinued. But its a sweet lock lugnut. Set of 4 for 85-125$ depending where you look. But ive gone through many companies asking if they have them just for luck and no one has them in stock. they are sweet though! The lug nut itself has a VERY STRONG magnetic cap over it. You can only get it off with the msgnetic key they supply with the lugs. (Who knows if other strong magnets will work) but omce cap is off then thr lug itself has a 30 ish tooth lug, with different shapes in the teeth and in various sizes to help keep the key from being replicated. I really wanted them. Heres a link. They were available in black or chrome.

Next set I saw. Which I about sht on the price... 385-410$ for a set of 20 lugs... the lug itself is chrome snd they offer it in various csp colors like blue and red etc. They are VOLK lock lug nuts. Dual allen lugs. The first part is an allen cap. (Kit comes woth 2 keys) after that allen cap is off they then supply you with a impact safe allen key to get the actual lug nut off. Very sweet lug nuts... but not 400$ sweet.

After more research I found these! A knock off to the volk ones above. Same style and everything. Just renamed. These are 60 bucks for the set. Comes in multiple colors as well but if I get em id be getting the black/chrome ones.

One, thats a big allen for someone to be carrying around. 2. The lugs will be on tight im sure a normal allen wrench would probably bend or twist trying to get it off. I know lock lugs aren't bullet proof to stop a theif. Its there to slow them down, so I can get to them before they take off

And because I can.

Im open to suggestions on other lock lugs.....

Yeah. But itd basically there to keep the theif going somewhere else....

Chance is they will only see it once.. they wont have the key the day they think about taking wheels. Lol they have to wait atleast a week to get it in. By then they lost there chance. ..

With the tools people have now a days lock nuts IMO are worthless. They really don't do much besides make it take longer to steal the wheels, doesn't make them theft proof.

Besides, your wheels aren't that expensive or rare. I really doubt anyone is going to try stealing them. Not like they are $2k a piece HRE's or something.

Like I said. I know they arent 100% theft proof but a theif without the right tools wont even try to take wheels off that they dont think they could get off quickly. And why should I make it easy for a theif? Making it take longer to get wheels is the point. Instead of a 5 mine job it could make it a 20 min job depending on the person... it just dumb to just say oh lock lugs arent theft proof so ill just keep stock lugs to make it easier for them so they can have my wheels.... not a great logic.

You would be suprised. I go to some bad parts of town quite often. Having a set of lock lugs is just an added piece of some slight assurance that they are a little bit more protected then they were.

I'd just bust the window and hotwire the car then deal with the locks later when its being stripped...
