Yeah, it would be a GS-T, not a GSX (meaning FWD not AWD).

And it comes pre-boosted. I think at a measley 6-8 psi, but it lays a foundation.

I have plans on spending a lot of time on the car... Crankwalk is an issue on a lot of turbo DSM's, but mainly with the 2g's. That's why I plan on probably replacing the 2g 4g63t with the same engine from a 1g. That usually solves the problems, and 1g engines are better for performance anyways.

the OP is looking for a cheap ass car, and you suggest that? come on man, keep up here. Even a beatto**** C5 vette will be 5-10x that.

You guys are right though. I could go get a raggy civic and boost it, or just drop extra thousands of dollars and get a c5. But honestly, I love the aggressive look of the 2g eclipse (95-99 ONLY), and this is a car I plan on projecting. I'd probably keep the grand am and boost it, but I have an auto, and want a manual.

Besides, a turbo kit for the grand am is... $4500? I can get a whole car for cheaper than that :/

I was looking at C5's. Cheapest I could find at the time was a torch red c5 for 15 grand. That + Insurance is something I can't afford...

possibly look into a subaru if you are wanting a boosted car.

Or you could build your own for a third of that cost.

I know of a daily driver, that has a '05 C6 Z51 convertible Corvette.

Recent pic...

244K km = 151.6K miles

& this has been driven on road course race tracks too.
(but he now has a '07 C6 Z06 as his weekend race car too)

you can get ahold of one with 100k miles for like 13k. it would cost that much to make an eclipse just as fast without blowing up. dont worry about the miles either cause they will last for 400k+.

I'd rather walk than drive a $13k vette... where I'm from, they call that being "hood rich." There's a few other terms for it, but I'll let Sik fill you in on those ones.

wouldnt a gs be a 2g while both the gs-t and gsx be 4g63?
gs-t havin a 11b and a gsx havin a 12b turbo.

ps find a prelude. they look better. add boost later on the low low
