Whats up guys! Haven't been on here in about a year! Last time I posted I was talking about getting a new car and joining the military. I have done both! I joined the Marine Corps I have now been in for about 10 months. I also just purchased my first car (Parents bought my Grand AM as my first car)

Picked up a 2007 Grand Cherokee Laredo yesterday at a dealership. Has 78,000 miles and got it for a great price. Runs great just needs a little paint work, there is some chips here and there, and the clear coat on the hood is coming off in parts but nothing major.

My grand am hasn't ran since I left its at my cousins shop hes trying to get it running so I can sell it, If he can't get it running be on a look out because I may be doing a major part out with it.

Not really going to heavily modify it. Plans are looking for the SRT8 black rims, Tinted tails. some trim painted black for that white and black theme. And upgraded touchscreen and subs from the ones i have now.

I didn't get a mustang(yet) because I needed something that could drive good in the snow. and also had lots of room. I play hockey and in the grand am the subs took up the trunk so I had to put my bag in the back seats. Also Since im in the reserves I go and train one weekend a month and I have a huggggge pack I have to bring up every time. I've wanted this style jeep for about 2 years now.
Im paying every penny for this, I'm proud I bought my first car haha

If he's from Colorado it'd be MCRD San Diego, everybody west of the Miss. goes there, east go to Parris Island.

Were you one of the guys that went it without an MOS whose recruiter promised to get it while you were in boot camp? They all ended up grunts or radio targets in my class.

As reserves I was garnered the MOS I got to pick because they basically reserve a spot for you in the unit.

Also did you hear they're bringing rolled sleeves back march 9th! The MaAadmin went out last night!

Bringing rolled sleeves back? You mean due to the weather change? I know when i was in just a few years ago we rolled our sleeves a certain time of the year, then unroll them in the winter months. I joined up as an 0311. In our unit our grunts were our own radio operators. They had to go to classes and what not to learn up. I was close to being transitioned to one, but glad i didn't. The CO had that guy running all over the place while we were in Iraq. He had to do the same **** we did, with the added weight. Of course working with the CO had its advantages. He didn't have to stand post as much, and got out of stupid ass working parties sometimes.

Yeah it's a little different now, radio operators can get attached to a grunt unit so they're an 0621 but with grunts. And General Amos took away rolled Sleeves back in 09? I think, he made it that sleeves were down year long, but steering march 9th he changed it back to rolled during sunmer. Wish it was like that back in September I was dying in 29 palms

Ahh well I left the reserves July 09, then went inactive until 2011. Guess thats why im not familiar with it. Now I do remember that whenever we were "in the field" our sleeves were always down. Yes I concur......29 palms blows! Hated being down there months at a time for training. Well if you have any questions about anything, let me know. Ive learned enough about some of the BS that goes on.
