Stock tape to cd

I want to put a stock cd player into my 99 grand am gt, it came with a stock tape player, I noticed i will have to get a different wiring harness, a different bezel, is this possible though ? if anyone has done it, could you post some pics. any info would help

the 99's had a separate place for the tape player. below the HVAC by the ciggarette lighter.

Mine only came with a tape player (above the HVAC)

IMO forget replacing stock with stock, odds are for you to get a decent aftermarket head unit it will cost about the same as replacing the stock tape deck with a stock CD player.

You mean you got a 2001+ cd player??? If so sell it and go aftermarket, by the time you get the wiring right and trim you could have gotten a nice aftermarket one.
