Replace the rack and pinion steering unit

Ok, been a while since i been here. I have my 2005 on blocks and trying to get the old Rack out, but its hitting on one of the fittings in the middle area. HOW do you get this dumb thing out of the car? I already dropped the sub frame in the back but the clearance is still tight. I can cut it but will not solve getting the new one in.

I wish I had a penny for every time I say WHO DESIGNED THIS STUPIDIY?

I got it out and installed the new one. All is good.
