Update to this thread if you go on ebay there a company from Hong Kong that is offering "buy it now" $11.00 free shipping and handeling and free resistors to work with 12V system for 50 LED's. This company manufactures LED's and I have dealt with them before their Ebay username is CwithK.

ok ok ... enough people have asked me, and I really don't care any more, I'm gonna make a how to for this soon for the people that can't figure it out from this thread. I just have to get a hold of another car, so hopefully sometime next week.

I have all the goods to make pre-made harnesses so you don't have to cut up your stock wiring, but I just don't have the time or money to get that ball rolling right now.

stay tuned

Hey as an added bonus I just changed out my shifter light with more of the same blue LED's and a red to indicate which gear I am in.

^^ That's easy also... Not sure how he did it, but if you take out the center console, it gives you a lot of room to work with. I have 4 LEDs in that little area. As far as to tell what gear you are in, you can attach an led to the piece that moves back and forth, and just leave enough wire on it to move around. (thin wire, 20+ga)

Yeah just take out the center console it makes it a whole lot easier. I put 3 blue LED's at either end of the trough but I am thinking about putting a couple more in the center.

OK so which wire does the resistor go on and does it matter which way the resistor goes?

Doesn't matter which way, and you want the gray wire, that's the dimmer.

FYI on the 2 doors, the dimmer Y'ed from the window to the lock button--- so just make sure you have 1 resister per switch and watch out for that Y .. it'll make sense when you take it apart.

I have both, 3mm and 5mm....but have not installed a single 3mm cuz the 5mm ones are way more brighter and not much bigger in size.....

Glad to hear you got that figure out Paul - interested to see how others do the ETS button - you can sit the LED on top of that little post and the leads will just make it to solder on, but theres a piece of plastic inside that when you push the button, might knock off the leads to the led.. I just broke that off... but easier mgiht be to trim that little post too..

hopefully I should have the how-to done this week, if the led's ever arrive and i go snag a donor car
