Well I haven't gotten the relearn done yet, because I'm screwed with having a ASE modified ECU. If I don't hear anything from Aleroboys' buddy by Thursday morning I'm going to spend the $40 to have the relearn done on my unmodified ECU at the local Olds dealer.

Anyone else put theirs on yet?

if i was in your position, i would be doing the say thing. Forget about the pulley. Would of been nice to see some good gains, but oh well.

Car back today. Relearn didn't do anything but lighten my wallet $40.

Anyone know how to access the driveplate cover? Where exactly is it?
The Haynes manual mentions it but doesn't say or show where it is.

I need to stop the motor from turning over when tightening the pulley dow.
I think I need to push it on a little further. I have a littel oil leak from behind the pulley.

What engine is the pulley off of? I wonder if the 3400s arent slightly different. Does anyone know if the front cover is the same part number for the 3100 and 3400?

I just wanted to let everyone that I too ordered the FFP underdrive pulley....I have a 99 grand am gt and my boyfriend has a 1991 Quad 4 GTZ so I heard about it off beretta.net. I got it a couple days ago and he put it in and it has made a WORLD of difference. For example before putting the pulley on all I had done was SLP stainless exhaust and even with that he still would get a car and a half on me when we raced. Last night we raced and we hung together til about 80 mph but even then he only got a half of a car on me. We where both VERY impressed what a difference it made for my car. I can't believe I am that close to him now. He runs a 15.4 in the 1/4 mile where before all my mods I ran a 15.7...but still to drop down to his time just from exhaust and pulley we think is quite amazing. I thought I would just add my awesome experience so you guys know that it does make an awesome difference on the 3400's.

I just want to let you all know how important it is to follow the instructions to the T. YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT THE PULLEY IS FULLY SEATED OR THE SENOR RING WILL NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY!!! If you didn’t have to hold the crank to keep it from turning while installing the new pulley, I can guarantee you its not on all the way. It’s going to take a good 50+ ft lbs to fully seat the pulley. Make absolutely sure that it’s seated and you shouldn't have any problems. Also, make sure that you don’t bend the ring out of round when swapping it. The sensor and ring only have a few thousandths tolerance to work right.

I’m glad that one of you guys got it to work and is happy with the results!

I just ordered my belt from pfyc.com and I am going to get my pulley installed beginning of next week. I can't wait. I will let you all know how it goes. I am not doing it because I am in college and don't have the time.

I hope pyfc did what I asked them to, which is carry extra belts for the pulley. I was the first to order, and it was suppose to be a special order for me, but I tried (and I hope suceeded) in getting them to get a few.

So if it doesn't get rushed out to ya understand it is a special order item.
