ok, so I am joining the fray late, but here's what I thought and gathered from all of this.
First off, I agree that 2K SHOULD be in this thing. I mean Noonan is a pontiac dealership. Although MGAC set this up, we'll get props for the event, THAT'S our reward. MIGPC puts on MGM every year and invites EVERYONE, club affilliated or not to come, EVEN GA's. 'NUFF SAID there To Kitty's comment: back it up and bring your ride. I think you'll be surprised by some of the cars in MGAC. I think 2K has VERY nice cars, I've met alot of them on Gratiot (sorry I don't mention that I'm GTManiac on here, but I've met most of you.), but so do we. Josh's comment about being left out of the First MGAC meet: Well we've had many more besides that one. Where have you guys been? It's prolly cause it's a HUGE meet and it's ONLY the huge meets you wanna hit (I can understand that you wanna be a part of the big things we put on, but sometimes that shows a shallow interest, so don't be offended when we don't always include everyone), well sorry that one was MGAC only being as it was our FIRST meet. Don't you guys also have RESTRICTIONS as to who can be in your club? Something like ALOT (*insert 'SH!7LOAD' instead of 'ALOT'* for some people) of show and go items (dubs, tint, a system? something along those lines right?) Well we had some restrictions on the first meet. SO WHAT? get over it. If it really rode yer @$$ that much then you should have said it got over it, not bring it back up 2 months later. A small simple question that in no way is meant to offend, it's just out of MY simple curiosity: "If there were no awards at Noonan, would 2K STILL be coming?" Seeya (Jeff Ryder): yer right about a few things, but guess what? We may have had the problems (what club won't?) but we still hang together. Kinda different from disappearing completely and just giving up on everything and everyone. We're working on being better and it's this small squabbles we're looking to get rid of. You diss us for this squabble, but then again, WHY do you care? Brendan: I like the idea of no awards, but I also like the idea of the awards, it builds healthy competition and reawrds those who put forth a great deal of work into their cars. Either way you go yer bound to have some sort of drama. People would complain if there weren't any awards. To put this topic to rest ALL are invited, ALL can participate, ALL should get along. I plan on having a TON of fun at this meet and I hope that this squabble (this is lame and everyone should feel like an @$$ for b!7ch!ng about it.) ends. It's useless and I think some people need to check themselves and really rethink alot of what they said here. Shame on alot of you for having to be so divided over a piece of wood with plastic that is coated in fake gold. ![]() Last edited by GTManiac; 06-11-2003 at 02:28 PM. |

First, I don't think Bad_Kitty has seen Mike's car or mine either.
Second, I never even heard that Adam intended the awards to be for MGAC people only in the first place. I don't agree with that either and think they should be for everyone who comes. I also don't see why the 2Krucial people got so upset about it though. It's gonna be a small show (it's not street dreams after all ) so it's really not a big deal. Who cares about awards anyway? Problems been solved though so it's not an issue anymore.I think everyone just needs to treat this as what it is. An oportunity to get together and have some fun. Don't place too much emphasis on this meet. I hope to see lots of 2krucial, MGAC, and just regular people with GA's and other pontiacs. It's deffinitly been too long since I've seen the 2K peeps. Anyone who hasn't seen my car in a while (or at all), if you can hang around until 5pm when I get outta work, I'll be by to show you my sick ride.

Wow...I should show up here a lil more. It seems like I just read two months worth of soap opera digest in the last two days from catching up. I guess being a lil ghost was a good thing being that I would have hated to see all of the drama. I remember last year when everyone would play nice...it's kinda like Kindergarten (sp) you were just happy to see another person w/ the same interests. You didn't care where they were from as longs as they played fair and didn't hog the sand box shovel or the fat red crayon. Now in year 2 it's kinda like 1st grade you know a lil more about the world and divisions start to form over small petty things. Maybe everyone needs to take a nap every day again
. I trully do hope that this is all behind us...we are all (hopefully) mature adults and can tell when something is petty. 2Krucial and MGAC sould not be bickering over trophies and yes I think I can speak for 2Krucial in saying that we would've come w/out the competition...we showed up last year so we had plans to come when we heard about it this year. This will be my first major event of the summer in terms of numbers attended...as probably for a lot of ppl. Lets make this a fun day w/ no drama! Think back to last year when Adam let me use his lawn chairs. Steve had the triangle subs. Kevin was bumpn as usual. and somebody had a cooler w/ cool beverages(sorry memory is hazy on the name), C'mon ppl remember the fun from last year and lets erase the line in the sand and enjoy everyone's company again! Sorry about the long post |

I got the impression from you guys that you were afraid of having others compete against you, because it was all about mgac, at first. |

Anyhow, lets just all put the bickering behind us, it was just a small misunderstanding of words, we all got it out of our chests (other than holding it inside and talkin sh=t behind each others backs). Lets just have a good time Saturday, cause you know thats going to happen regardless of what we say on here damnit! ![]() Edit: Craig, what engine? I know Alex has a set of 3400 exhaust manifolds that he has laying around after installing his headers. Why do ya need em? Aftermarket ones arn't working out?

Hey, I'm not trying to make a war, I was just stating what I thought, but since they are letting other ppl compete, then I guess I was wrong for saying that.

Ok Craig, I know you and I don't always agree on things, and I'd like nothing else than to let you give Alex some money for his stock mani's, but I can't let you do that in good conscience, so don't take this the wrong way please. Before TOG's were available to us I talked to some grand prix guys who tried porting their stock mani's and they said they saw no difference on the dyno. Basically the cross section of the rear collector is too small compared to the size of all the exhaust ports to make it possible to increase flow significantly. They said that if you ported it enough to make the tiniest difference the cast iron would be too thin and might crack, and after installing Alex's headers and getting a good look at the stockers I have to agree. Rather than wasting my time on them, I'd just save up and at least get the S&S headers. They'd be way better anyway. Or just wait 'till you get a turbo. That's just my $.02 ok.
Sorry for getting off topic guys. ![]()

Aaron, The biggest concern is the port match. How do the stocker openings look compared to the gasket opening? Especially now that my head is ported to match the gasket. Also, with the turbo, I still want to do some mild porting to remove casting marks, nodules, etc.
As for headers, there is no way I'm dropping that kind of cash to sell them for 50% or hack them up. Maybe if I could find a used set for $200, but otherwise, no dice!
