Need some pics of interior neons plz.

I have been considering getting 2 10" red neon tubes to put under my dash. I already have red LEDs in all my vents, so i figured it would look pretty kool. The only picture I could find was of shawn2ktats. So if anyone else out there has some neons in their car, post some pics here. Even if they arent under the dash, i still wanna see some pics of where people have put them.

Also, where can I mount the 10" under the drivers side dash so that it wont interfere with anything, but also so that i cant see the bulb.

And does anyone know about a company called impulse that makes neon tubes. I found a site that sells 10" for $12 with FREE 1st class shipping.

The driverside is easy, there is a perfect little place to tuck it in. Just look under there and you will see it right away. It will be out of reach and nobody can see it. The passenger side however is much more difficult. However, i have 12 inch tubes, so the 10 inch one might be much easier to hide. You can use screws, zip ties, or double sided tape. Whichever you prefer. Sorry i don't have pics, i don't have a digicam.

I tryed looking on the driver's side, but can't seem to find what you are talking about, but it is dark out. Can you be a little more specific? Like is it behind or infront of the pedals? Is it near anything else?

let' see if i can try to be a bit more specific. It is before the pedals first of all. You will see that the plastic down there kinds of "caves in" so there is a little valley to hide the tube. One one side i used a screw and screwed it into the plastic, but on the other side there wasn't enough room to use a screw (due to the 12 inch tube) so i used sticky tape. The placement of the bulb does not interfere with braking or normal driviing procedures. The bulb is not visible to any passenger in the cabin (including yourself) unless you get down an look in there.

You do know that you can resize them and save them as gifs to take up less space right?

Download the images to ur computer, then basically just use a graphics editing program (photoshop, paint shop pro, or whatever came with ur digicam.) and resize it. Its pretty easy.

always a winner for neon is under seats. i would suggest a license plate frame in neon. streetglow makes em. those are best because color comes out on both sides of your seat then. my friend w/ a civic did that in blue. looked really nice.

maybe im missing the point, but what good is it gonna do under your seat? wont the light just hit the floor under ur seat, and ull never even see it?

Also, should i wire to a fuse that comes on only with the lights, or one thats on all the time? Im gonna have a cutoff switch. Is there anything bad about having them on all the time that the car is on?

Well the light coming off the tube doesn't shoot down like a lazer, hit the floor, and never spread. The light will spread so the rear footwells and front footwells will be illuminated as well.

Here are some night shots of my neons. I have two 10's in the front and a 20 on my rear trunk. for the wiring I just used the constant power from the radio and the rear trunk light. I used a switch so that I could turn them off when a cop is around. It is also wired so that when the trunk opens all the neons turn on.

have you had any problems with them overheating because they are on so much?

and also where did you mount the ones in the footwells?

Ill let u know how the neons are when I get em either friday or saturday, I don't see how there can be such a thing as a bad neon, unless it leaks

any good places to place them in the back area...I have just got 2 12' and I have plenty of red light in front due to the dome and under the rear view both being red....I was thinkin' on the sides but don't know if they would be destroyed by passengers.,....anyone have any suggestions.

Actually, most neon manufacturers reccommend on the box that the tubes come in not to leave them on for more than 3 hours at a time. At least, that is what my tubes said.
