Until you can post at least a 14 sec 1/4 slip or a valid dyno printout, you have no right (IMO) to claim the kind of horsepower you are stating.
IOW, you should probably save your replies for someone that actually believes you.

Now now... lets keep this friendly. Its common knowledge that John has done a lot of ground-breaking for our cars and has a long history here... so I'd be one of the first to say that I believe him.

Great, just provide a link to his 14.0 sec or better timeslip or a dyno printout showing over 260 rwhp and I will say no more about it. Until then, a little food for thought.. A stock Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with the 3800sc's factory rated 240 "BRAKE HORSEPOWER" can pull mid to high 14's right off the showroom floor. The GTP's also weigh in at around 300 lbs more at the curb.
I am not trying to be malicious, but do not insult my intelligence.

If you want to see what a 3.1 60V6 boosted with around 14psig (and therefore IS making 320 - 340 crank horsepower) runs, just click here.

The value for spark advance recorded or displayed by the typical scanner is a bit ambiguous, it is actually the result of the following somewhat simplified equation :
base advance + cool deg - spark retard = relative sa

Therefore, any increase in spark advance displayed under the same temperature and load conditions (without an actual physical change to timing tables in the code) is a result of the PCM decreasing the amount of spark retard it is currently employing due to the knock it has actually seen. So yes, you were getting knock, just not with the frequency required to record an actual knock count. The knock count is only incremented when a "severe knock event" has occured for a duration sufficient for the PCM to have employed at or near its maximum amount of "burst knock retard".

Many of you have spent over $4000 to obtain a forced induction system that, even with what appears to be an appreciable amount of boost added, simply does not justify the marginal performance increases you have noted.
There is a reason for the discrepancy, and things such as this always intrigue me. You can work together to find the solution(s) for this, or you can be satisfied with performance level you have now. Your call..

No ones insulting you. But to come on here and put down other people and to demand people to show you time slips and dyno is foolish. ALeroboy is has been a long time member and his number are real. I'm sure when he gets on here he will post them up. No need to act like a ****.

Oh and I have about 2300 in my turbo set up.

If you are going to make claims that you cant back up, then those of us that do not happen to be easily impressed 18 yr olds. are likely to call it BS.
If you have a problem dealing with that, then take it off the public boards where we can discuss it without subjecting readers to this kind of nonsense. If you feel further need to call me names, then I suggest you do it to my face like a man, rather than hiding behind a keyboard like a child.
I will be more than happy to provide you with my home address...

Likewise

It's appearant you don't frequent this board much
my time slips for 4900 feet above sea level are on my registry.
they are also listed in best of the boost.
this is the same place where modded GTP's run 15.5

As for my dyno I've yet to put this one up but I'll get arround to it sometime today.
I have arround 24 pulls on the dyno for various mods done just so when people like you call me out I can put my money where my mouth is.

I'm not much for internet **** talking either but your not worth my time to go to utah. If your ever up this way I'll galdly take it to the track with ya and show you how well I can do agianst WRX's, GTPs, camaros, TA's, and mustangs.

oh as for my setup... I bought the supercharger kit for 1,000 and intercooled the car myself. got parts at cost
I have about 4 k in all my engine mods.

Ya, those V8's in those mustangs and camaros are all slow.
I'll tell ya what. How bout we put our titles on the line and have our own little race? I mean if Camaro's and such are no challenge, a 15 yr old car with a little V6 should be no problem at all, right? Its even more fair since they both have aftermarket forced induction.

Ya, but you could always sell it and pay for more mods.... Lets say you put down $2000, and I will either put up my title or an equal amount, whatever you prefer.
Sound good??

Hrm...
if I had the 2k to put up I would
but then agian if I had the 2K I'd build my tranny before it explodes.

I wont race for cash till my car runs 12's
unless you want to go brackets.

Oh and on the dyno I have to find a place to host it before I can link it up.
if you want to see it that bad I'll email it over to ya.

And yes V8 camaros and mustangs are an easy kill
running within 5 tenths of the new supercharged cobra is fun too.

Wow your scary. Talk about being a keyboard warrior. Dealing with what? That it is possible that a n-body with almost every bolt on mod available including an SC with a smaller pulley can put down 260 whp. Give me a break Funny how everyone seems to bring up my age everytime someone disagrees with my oppinions. I have been around cars all my life and how many 17 y/os ( yes thats how old I was when completing my project) can research/design/and affectivly implement a custom turbo kit for a car that no one has really done it too. Unlike most teenage riceboys that do donuts and tell everyone how their big winged civic is fast and furious.I know my **** and will back it up if I have to.

That would be fine, just click the little button under my post that says "emal"...

A 2001 Z28 Camaro can run 13.9 totally stock, and they seldom appear on the drag strip without modifications.
That number is from a road n track test, not something I made up, and you can verify it by clicking here

thats assuming perfict track conditions and a expert driver
very few people can drive the car to the full potential or to its stats. but I've seen a few freak camaros and TA's on the dyno do some insane numbers bone stock.
there is way to much of a variance to say exactly what they do.
and stats sites are usually off from reality.

this is just my experience.
oh Ill email the sheet over in a sec
