in the end it came down to the money i had.. that's really what it came down to..

Maybe i'll tackle a little hybrid nonsense down the road... but .. i'd probably end up looking for a cavvy and another 2.4.... which won't happen..

CARBON FIBER RAM AIR HOOD?

I would consider sending out my hood for establishing the becnhmark for a carbon fiber hood. I would do this if I got a significant discount.

As always this discount and the production of the hood would be based on demand... what do you think? Would you purchase this style hood in CF?

I asked them about that already. They aren't willing to give the hood donor a discount, otherwise my hood would be getting done already. I can't afford to buy another hood after already paying $800 for the first one. That sucks!

so line up a buyer for the hood you got now, make the new CF hood and sell the one you got now for like $400-500... thats what i would do anyways...

Not that easy. When they make a mold from something it's usually trashed afterward. I'd have to sand and re-paint the whole thing. I'd still be out a lot of money in the end. Money and time are two things I don't have a lot of right now.
