once again your comparing a grand am to a ****ing mustang a saleen at that. I think the Saleen compares to a WS6 TA more or Camaro or maybe even a corvette.

Its pretty bad when you have to compare a Saleen Mustang to a Grand AM in order to make the mustang look good

all cars have their problems, and all car opinions are based on OPINION. American cars as a whole have some serious quality issues, GM, Ford, Chysler, and anything in between. Everyone here bought their car after careful consideration of what they need the car to provide them in their life. You guys wanted a speedy straight line sports car, we wanted a peppy, and overall appealing car. It's obvious nobody is going to convince anyone here, so let's end the damn discussion. Now let the grand am people carry on their merry way, and let the mustang guys go back to their forum and carry on their merry way.

Hell, you have the right to call a V6 Mustang a piece of

Here's a tip for future reference. When you speak, try to include a fact. Also, people will judge your intelligence by the way you compose your replies. So if you could make it easier on all of us- try to include a point when you speak/type.

Better get em' really warm or savor them moment cause a FWD V6 automatic family sedan might whoop up on you.... Could be a Buick Regal or a Grand Prix... or even an Impala. Oh... watch for the Monte Carlo too..

I like seeing the power of the other car. Z28's....no problem.

the saleen is nothing more than a damn mustang GT with a body kit, before the supercharger was put on it was the same as a mustang GT, same interior, same engine, same suspension

the extreme and supercharged saleens arent comparable.

its pretty bad when you dont know what the hell you are talking about

I'm trying to remain composed cause I am laughing at this whole thread. When it comes down to it I really, really don't care about what's faster or more reliable etc... I'm just having fun.

why isn't anyone listening to me, quit the bitching and everyone go back to their proper forum. If a few of us went on a mustang forum and started praising our car, we would get the exact same treatment. You are wasting your time here.

I'll hang around for a few. I like to get made fun of by Grand Am drivers.

Some of us here are posting for comedic pleasure.

The comparing Mustang to GA is stupid. Mustang IS fords preformance car.

The WS6 TA and Z06 CORVETTE IS GM's preformance car. Lets see you go pick on one of those.

Its pretty bad when GM's family sedans could give you a run for your money. I know a GTP would give you a run for your money.

Let's see fords family cars give the TA a run for its money? oh ill be waiting a while because we all know that god awful tarus can whoop some ass. I dont think their SVT **** crap contour can hold a candle.

once again another misinformed grand am owner
so you are saying the grand am is better in the corners? WRONG

Where do you get this idea of mustangs wanted to go in a straight line?
If you want a real thrill by a sportbike and go through the curves, a car doesnt even compare
but comparing the mustang to the grand am its not close
now i agree noone will change anyones mind about a certain car on here and life does go on

Mike i agree 100%
I have 3 co-workers sittin here with me and they are all laughing at this thread

Now see this is a pivital step. Look at the price of a Corvette to a SVT Cobra. BIG difference.

Grand Prix's/Grand AM's are in the same price bracket of the Mustang V6/GT.

When you want to get into racing the big boys, i.e. Corvette. You step it up and get the same STRAIGHT line performance as a Corvette out of a Cobra. At a fraction of the cost.

A lot of people that bought brand new Grand AM GT's could've gotten a Mustang GT thats 1 or 2 years old. Again, insurance and gas may have been an issue for some of you.

I'm 18, but my insurance isn't to bad on the GT. Gas on the other hand....

, damn it. I didn't mean overall in that way. I meant overall as in it is roomy, has a big trunk, standard options, good fuel economy, etc. I wasn't even referring to performance at all in that statement.

I think not, If i wanted a V8 i wouldnt stoop as low as to buy a mustang. If i wanted a V8 I would have picked up a TA or Camaro, thats just my opinion though. maybe the majority of most others as well.

Come on we all know the Grand AM is faster than a Mustang GT, it looks SOOOOO much better than a Mustang, Grand Am's dont rust, and Grand AM's handle so much better in corners. Boy do I love FWD wheel hop.

General consencus of people stating the facts
