Wow, I received my MAF from Pro-M today! That was quick!

If anyone is wondering, the inside diameter IS 75mm, so I don't see any reason why the aftermarket MAF ends wouldn't work.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

Yeah first I need to get some new intake couplers and setup my intake differently.

And on the one I got, I don't need new maf ends, mine are already plastic and there's nothing in the middle either! (its hollow except for the wires)

Well i emailed Pro-M the other day asking about their MAF, and just got a reply.

"We sell a unit for the GrandAm, they have been selling for $249, but
that may change soon. The part number, which is new is GM1-MAL1 for a
94-03 grand am. If you want cold air, just add a CA after the meter
part number. You can fax the order in, call it in, or use this part
number to order it on-line." so the part number for a cold air induction equiped grand am would be GM1-MAL1CA if im not mistaken. think i'll have to order me one of them.

If they don't work, they don't work; I can throw the stock ends (with screen and center divider) back in. FWIW, my car experienced detonation with the ASE chip and a completely stock MAF.....my DHP has absolutely no knock or detonation.
Where might a person get these and is there a paticular size to look for?

Maybe summit or jegs? But if you are going to get the pro-m, then there is no reason to get those.

No I don't, Seth. Plus I took my CAI out for the winter and have the stock airbox and MAF back in it.

Sorry man...

Since the calibration on this MAF is for a CAI, does it matter if you have ported heads? Or is the CAI only effecting the MAF and it doesnt matter what mods you have AFTER it?

Haven't got it installed yet. Hoping for next weekend.

Do a search for MAF ends in google or something; I found several websites selling them. You need a 75mm MAF end for the Pro-M unit, but I'm not sure about stock because its smaller.

ok I'm stupid and confused, Does the Pro-M come with the ends or is it just the MAF sensor? I'd like to get this but after the cost of installing Struts and headers, I dont think I can afford any thing much over 300. if the Pro-m dosent have the ends, that would be almost 400 depending on where you get them.
If this is true, I wont be looking at getting one untill next spring, then it will probably have gone up in price and cost twice as much. *crap*
