well, all mine says is LT1 Grand am meter plastic (or something like that), no words CA anywhere. SOAB! can someone that knows their's is CA calibrated please scan the flow sheet, so i can compare mine to that? that would prolly be the easiest way to see if mine is actually right.

I asked pro-m about this, and in Jim's email he said they've never sold a MAF that wasn't calibrated for CAI so I think you have nothing to worry about.

I wish i could scan mine, but i dont have access to a scanner. Yeah that seems kinda fishy. As far as calibration goes i think Pro-M calibrates depending on what you request. It being Cold-Air, Supercharged, or just Stock intake.

How about this, the next person that contacts Pro-M, inform Jim about this site....let him know that people really are interested and aside from what marketing stuff he wants to blab there really is only a marginal performance increase from this. And with that, there is a point of diminishing return on what we as a GA community are going to buy this thing for. Tell him that over $400 (IMHO over $300!!) is just assinine. However, do this in a professional and respectful manner. If he wants to argue, just tell him nicely that you are sure he will notice how true your info is once he sees his sales drop to the basement.

Once again, be polite yet stern....we as a community have to start standing up to BS like this if we want parts. Over $300 for this thing is nuts. I'm sure it changes performance, but my God, a catback SLP is only $380, you want to tell me a MAF is worth over $400?!! NOT!

Someone please do this (i'd do it if I was interested in buying). Then inform us how the conversation went.

So basically the rest should read that as...

"I got it for the $250....I could give a sh1t what the rest of you pay from here on out."

i ordered mine today, can't wait to get it. they are still selling them for the $249 price.. but he did ask me if i was quoted a price.. i asked when i could expect it to arrive and he said that the order would most likely go out tomorrow, so sounds like there will be quick delivery

I got a little tired of reading this thread on which price was correct so I decided to call Pro M myself since they know me.

Plain and simple: The price WILL be going up to approx. $400.00 when their price list is updated. It will go into effect sometime next month but until it does, just call them and tell them that you were quoted $249.00 and that's the price they'll honor.

why are the raising the price to $400 though? It seems from reading the through the thread that most people will just forget about the MAF with a pricetag that high. But then again, I haven't seen many people buying these until this thread started. So if Pro-M wasn't selling as many, they needed to raise the price.

well I ordered mine today too.......here's how the conversation went:
Me " Hi I need to order a Pro-M MAF with the cold air calibration"
Pro-M " for what ?"
Me " a 3.4 2000 Grand Am"
Pro-M " were you quoted a price already??"
ME " yeah I called a week ago or so...$249"
Pro-M " Do you go to that forum for Grand Am's?"
ME " I visit a few sometimes...why...which one?"
Pro-M " Just trying to figure out which one it is??
Me " hummm not sure......."
Pro-M " O-OK now for your info......ECT......."

I didn't want to tell him..............he kinda sounded iffy already...... Well either way I'm getting mine for $249....but I doubt this deal will last much longer
