OKay you picky bastards
. I scanned this a couple times and this was the best I could get. If I can get a better one I will post it later on. I only said 25hp because supposedly our cars have an average of 175hp from the factory and the end result from this dyno was 198.25. Which is 23.25hp! Just rounding to the nearest 5 There really is a large curve under the stoock vs. APOC SLP setup as stated. Which really does improve overall ACCELEATION!! Hope this helps! Jason

SWEEEET!! I just had to press real hard in that area of the page
SO here it is. Also, they said that they took it to the track when they removed the jack and spare tire they consistently got 15.0s@92mph (weather in the upper 50s)! Not bad!

^ That chart explains the loss of low end torque. If you compare the two curves, the one with the APoC CAI and the SLP exhaust has way lower numbers at the low end but more than makes up for it above 2,700 rpm.

yea, below 2700 it amounts to about 50ft lbs difference and 50 hp.
As for more than making up for it above that, that depends on how often you stay above 2700rpm. while driving, highway or locally i'd say your time below 2700rpm is far greater than above. There is a happy medium, use it if you want something in the middle. Otherwise stock or after market has drawbacks _all the time_ no matter if you're racing or not. |

you guys with the MAF...
you say that the CAI didn't do much until you got the maf....i'm thinking this is because the MAF did SO MUCH, you forgot about how much better the CAI by itself was over stock. And from that scan, they said the car "accelerates better". what would that be...like.... .2 or .3 off of the 0-60 time? or a better 1/8th mile time, etc... ![]()

right no question all these options are better than stock...but for me...the CAI gain was marginal at best..no biggie...more noise than anything...but with the MAF the combination was worth all of it. So they both contributed equally to my satisfaction

Its kinda wierd. Ive notice gain with my CAI, but the noise isnt as loud as i was expecting. I think its cause i have headers and they are loud so maybe thats why im not hearing the CAI.

But, if you noticed, he has TOG headers and exhaust. I had my CAI first, then got my Borla. I notice the Borla over the exhaust now. Guess we should have all clarified the noise increase for all those with modded engines already.
