PACE is supposedly bidding on this bezel so if he gets it, hopefully he'll take more pics of it showing the detail.

I'm down for this. This would look great.

OK. I sent him an e-mail about a possible group buy. We'll see what he says...hopefully it will be cheap!

I bet C/F door sills would look cool....and the plastic OEM mouse-ear mirrors could be C/F'ed as well !

Lets not have some long drawn out bidding war....Just let me get it. I will then post good pics of it and organize a group buy for EVERYONE and it will be cheaper than you are going to get it for off e-bay......!

Hopefully, it doesn't go high. Pace was the first to bid on it.

Wait a minute...why is Panacea bidding on it when it only fits '01+??? He's got a 1999.

this guy has got to be sitting here thinking "WTF mate?" when he sees all of this action from his auction and the emails we're sending him. I hope he gets back to you on the GB thing. It'd be hella sweet for people to get CF done like that on their interiors.

Yeah, this is the same thing GM is supposed to be doing, but since it takes them forever to pull sh!t out their asses, we will go elsewhere. It'd be hilarious if everyone bought from this guy, then GM comes out with theirs and gets no sales... Focking idiots!

I wonder if this is the same process that they use to camouflage guns. If so it's pretty interesting process. They put the film or whatever in the water or solution, then dip the object in it and when they pull it out it's camo'd... I bet it's the same thing...

Cool stuff.

Hi, I am sorry if there is any confusion with the piece. We can take any
pieces that you would like and carbon fiber them. If you like you can
see
our web site (www.ultra-graphics.net) Thank You. Steve.

Subject: Question for seller -- Item #2459314332

> Nice piece! I'm sure I'm not alone when saying that there's a genuine
interest for this item in the Grand Am community. You have the item
labeled
as a 99+ piece, however judging by the pictures this appears to be a
double
din opening. If this is true, it would make it a direct fit for only the
01+
model Grand Am(s). With minor modifications the 99-00 Grand Am owners
could
use this as well. Is the there a 1 1/2 version of this same item for the
99-00 Grand Am(s)? If not would it be considered? If so, potential buyer
buyers could be found at www.grandamgt.com and also at
www.gaownersclub.com.
Would group buys be considered? We anxiously await a reply.

Cavingman, I'm not sure if you've come across these yet but here are some possible links to materials:

http://www.xfinishes.com/pattern.shtml

not sure about this one but here it is:

http://futurefiber.tripod.com/produc...onfiber_e.html

I can't seem to find the adhesives.

Hi Jason, I'm glad to see you are interested with our process . I know you
will be happy with the look and quality of the piece. I would like to give
you a little more info. Our company name is Ultra Graphics
(www.ultra-graphics.net), we are located in Syracuse, New York. The process
we are doing can take any product be it plastic, metal, glass, aluminum,or
stone and put a thin carbon fiber graphic film over the top of it. The
carbon fiber film is then clear coated with a high solids clear to give it
both durability and shine. The proces is guaranteed for the life of the
part. The best thing is that the process is done on factory pieces so there
is never any problem with fit or finish. This is not a vinyl decal and it is
not a stick on product. Our process is actually fused to the part. We can
definitely give you a sizeable price break for the more people you get. Much
of our pricing is done by the quantity of pieces done at a given time. We
can do pieces up to 3 feet long by 2 feet wide. There are not many pieces we
cannot do. Remember we can do things like; ext. mouldings, wiper arms, ext.
door handles, mirrors, headlights and tailights (we leave cutouts for light
per your design) If you would like to give me a call you can. Thanks again
for your interest. Steven Farrell 1-315-479-7305 7am-5pm EST

im in for atleast 2 or 3 parts but the cheaper the price the more stuff i can do.... it would be nice if we could get a price scale kinda thingy, like if we have 1-10 pieces it would be around "x"dollars per piece 10-20 it would be "w" dollars per piece, that would help alot then we could post up how many pieces we all want and then figure our individual totals based opon that of course it wont be totaly accurate because people will back out and so on but it could give us a guesstimate, is this possable?

Sweet. I'd like to get my steering wheel done similar to this

Maybe in carbon fiber or brushed aluminum?

This is the two tone effect i'd like to go for. Carbon fiber on the back peice of the radio trim with brushed aluminum on the front piece. If they could do that, then i'm definately in. Maybe I should photoshop it to give me an idea what it would look like.

Can't decide between black brushed aluminum or brushed aluminum. I suppose brushed aluminum would give the best contrast.

Black Brushed Aluminum

Brushed Aluminum

i wonder how it would look if you had carbon fiber molded over the orange on the headlights, and maybe go across th top like those eyebrow covers

probobly kinda funny. usually the headlight vinyl mod only looks good when it matches the paint surrounding it (eg. bumper and fender)
