I think the car is finally realizing that it has potential to go places if I get off my ass and collect the rest of the parts I need.

Yeah look at the N/A times a few tenths slower and Half the mods of you. thats why I dont understand. you flap about 2.4>3.4 your pointing out that we dont have an N/A time faster then yours. well I spent 2500 dollars CND on my Mods, and i ran a 14.9 with ****ty traction and a ****ed MAF and stock Piping. But hey I ran what I ran, It will be cool to see what I run in may. If I run what I want i'm going to Put a Big heart on my Timeslip and Sign my name.

BTW Congrats on the Time Deek, I'm really impressed!

plse don't copy me. Spending half the money on mods? If your engine decides to say adios amigo you'd have spent as much as I have too. Don't worry I had ****ty traction too, but I'm not complaining. Run what ya brung champ.

I'm not making any excuses. You're lucky I had THAT timeslip. It was the equivalent of seeing if the ole quad was healthy and capable of doing something. Which apparently it was.

Don't worry w/ the juice I'll give you a new timeslip. $30 investment on nitrous too. You'll like it I know you will.

Reason I bash about 3.4's is due to the fact the majority of you are ignorant to what quad's can do. Nobody says anything because this is a 3.4 majority board. Hence my stance I currently have, as well as proof that a 2.4L equipped car so far is historically proven to be faster than a 3.4L equipped car.

My ride is slowly proving that there is replacement for displacement.

spray a stock 2.4......try a 75 dry shot...same setup in a 3.4 stock..... the 2.4 will run slower than the 3.4 any day....... spy your car is strong....but look at what you did to get it there....stock to stock the 3.4 is better and faster....so mod to mod the 3.4 will still be up! 2.4 has no torque! i do like the top end of a modded 2.4 but it takes money to make them pull....and besides yours, most dont pull.......we just put heads intake and exhaust and our 3.4's pull past the governor! beat that in a 4 banger!

Far from ignorant their bud, I have probably worked on more 2.4s than you have. I'm far from ignorant about that engine, You are just WAY to focking ****ey about it! Maby if you wouldent Flap your Mouth off all the time on a board with Majority V6 owners maby you wouldent be resented so much, Take my advise STFU!

"replacement for displacement." That is the most retarted term around and people who use Are ignorant. Why dont you ponder that for a wile and you might see what I mean.

There is a replacement for displacement.....

High winding.

I'd rather have a 6 or 8 make all my power between 2000-5500 RPM's then a 4 make all its power between 5000-7000

You're funny.

What do you think the real race cars use? Right now Chevy is running a 3.5L V8. You think it hits 600 HP by being a low winder? High winding is just the sign of tuned engine, not a weak one. You can get plenty low end power too if you have a good compression ratio.

What I am refurring to is that if you take A b18 and add 4 cyl is the 4 Cly or the 8 Cyl going to make more power with = mods done to both. When you brake it down thats what it means.

it is the 2.4 guys going around telling the women
"size really doesn't matter....its the lotion in the potion, and motion in the ocean" BS!!!!!

size does matter...that's why i get beat by trans ams stock!!!
that's why i beat every stock honda....stock!

duh....dont give us that crap......of course a modded s2000 winds to 10 million rpm.....but it still doesnt get off the line worth a flip!
i eat 240 hp s2000 for lunch with a 50 shot!!! ....must be the tremendous torque advantage i have!! duh

i have lost at the track to a vr6..... i thought i won....turned on the flashers (hazard lights).....and at the line he caught and passed me to beat me by .05 seconds!! go figure.... that 2.4 with mods dont kick in till it is around 10 million rpm...just like any other high hp low torque car out there!!!

you can have high torque and high hp on a smaller displacement engine....that is where the fun begins and the v8's get beat!
be prepared to spend!

I'm not even going to try. Sometimes you should just walk away, and I think that's what I'm going to do here.

I will say this, displacement is huge advantage so long as you keep the RPM and compression ratio the same, hence stock. Change the compression ratios and RPM limits (ever think for second you could start a car off at 2000 RPM and not 750?) and I can asure you that displacement becomes much less of a factor. It's all about the amount of air you can get in the engine for combustion. Simple as that.

But I can't argue with all of you NASCAR and GM engineers.

I'll just discuss engine theory with them from time to time, the real ones that is.

you guys saying the 3400 is faster then the 2.4 stock

omfg? what are you trying to prove, that a faster engine is faster?

spy is saying the 2.4 has more potential and accepts mods better, all the spraying 3400's, how are those cars holding up? how many of them have been boosted for over a year? over 100 passes?

you guys should check j-body.org to see the times they are dropping with their na and boosted machines, (granted they are lighter but you get the point)...

...but im not on either side of the fence, some people have 3400's, some people have 2.4's, but as l ong as its a grand am it can park near mine =P.

now lets stfu and get spy and deek to the track to get some numbers

sorry to dissapoint you guys, but spy was a no show...... i called him and he told me his nos solenoid was out or something like that, and never showed, i called a couple times after that with no answer on his part.

Robert if your car was really down i understand that, however you set the date, i agreed. You were a no show, if you werent ready then you shouldnt of set a date.

Do you remember our conversation? You said to me "if you dont show consider your self a ***** and are afraid.

You were the one that no showed, and had an excuse, im not flaming, but dont set a challenge and not make it.
