if you made it in like paint, make sure you save it w/ a .jpg or .gif extension, then just save it somewhere on your comp, and post with an attachment.

DUH! How did I forget that?! Any ways, I know this isn't trick or wack or dope, but it thumps like hell and uses almost no trunk space. The total depth of the box at the bottom is only about 10", and the angle matches the seat backs. If I were going to do this over again I would do the same box but put the sub on the straight up side to aim the sub at the back of the car. BTW, MS Paint is cheaper than a digicam.

ad-dajjaal,

That is one KICKIN' install!!! Now that's what I'm thinking! I am not as talented as you and your friend, but will be willing to pay a good shop to do something similar, not as grand a scale.

Thanks very much for the pictures. You're setup is sweet!

that's a lot of money, but if you ask me, those quotes are on the low side! How long did it take you guys - whole install, not just the box/trunk?

yea it would be on the low side. i had Fishman look at it and he told me he wouldnt have done it for less than 20 grand. and thats just building it and painting it. thats not including the 5 grand i have in wiring alone in the car along with sound deadening material. we had about 6 to 8 weeks in the whole set up.

No, I didn't do this, but I have done it before, and I am doing something very similar in my 96 right now. As far as getting the carpet to match, most stereo shops have big rolls of carpet, just pick the one that matches. To cut the board, just make a big pattern out of cardboard, then cut it with a saber saw. I'll take some pics of my 96 in progress.
