Aaron, that's just what I read. It was on www.beretta.net IIRC but it might have been somewhere else. I just know that's what I read.

Mike, I was just correcting his spelling error. It's a shame what's happened to the Beretta name (especially the GTU and GTZ) because they have some MAJOR potential.

LS1's touching 12's...eh...with a professional driver on a good day. Typical LS1 stock time is between 13.2 and 13.5. SRT-4's run around at 13.5-13.9. Its alot closer than most people think. I'm not saying an SRT-4 will "smoke" anything, I'm just saying it gives you a run for your money.

14.8 Second GAGT vs. SRT-4....

From launch I catch him for an immediate 1 1/2 car length consistantly. And he does not make it up very well. At 80mph he is at my rear bumper and at 100-105ish he is almost door to door.
Ummm, I might be going out on a limb here, but I hardly doubt you two got up to 80MPH on a 1/2 mile long runway. Let alone still had time to stop.

Uhh...Arctic....1/2 mile is alot. Hell, I'm doing 86mph in the 1/4, and you can stop a helluva lot faster than you can accelerate...nothing unbelievable about it really.

And the Lumina SS (overseas) became the GTO here in America, just two doors.

i dont know how fast all these cars are, but Motortrend got a 13.1 out of an automatic 2002 WS6. so im sure others can too. and from what i've read on other forums, i'd say the average out of a stock srt-4 was around 13.8 to 14.4. not sayin none of this is true, srt-4's might be faster with a better driver. except for the Motortrend thing. but that's what i've read. now since like i read 20% of people who buy the srt-4 also get the stage 1 thing from mopar, maybe that's why they are a lil faster. i dunno. just my 2 cents.

Yeah 12s w/ the WS6 are not pro drivers. Just owners that take time to perfect their launch for that car.

Ummm, yeah, you're wrong. Most cats with Grand Ams get up to at least 87mph in the 1/4 mile... and most 1/4 mile tracks are at least 1/2 mile long (stopping distance).

i have a question. how is a SRT4 going to run with a vette, T/A, or camaro top end?? ok they're turbo charged.......with what, 250 horses? whooptie do. my friends lightning can outrun a vette off the line (i've seen it more than once)......but when you get to 3 digits that vette will stomp on him like a cartoon character everytime. so the neon running with the LS1 in the quarter is feasible, but even if you take the wieght issue into the equation.......im still not seeing how it's going to run with cars that are fully capable of 175 mph. now it MIGHT beat them to say 135-140, but those cars still have another gear to go at that speed. anyways, just wondering

Well when you're over 600 pounds lighter, with 250ft-lbs from 3200 rpm, you're pulling hard on the highway. Stock, they'll still get BEAT by an LS1 motor, but its not a spanking. Most TA owners are damn surprised when an SRT-4 gives them a run for their money.

I am sorry but are you calling me out? Just let me know, because people who actually know me, know I do not BS.

BTW, I didn't roll out the tape measure to make sure the airstrip was exactly what I said it was.
