yes it does... at a point inside the plenum where it is between 58-60sumthin mm!
that is where it will bottle neck.... but who knows i have never measured the inside neck of the plenum... where it starts bending up toward the runners.

no one has flow tested the upper intake... i am sure though that all the runners flow more than the equivalant of a 62mm opening!

i re-read your post... know i know what you are getting at.... but it still shouldnt be that much faster than a 62mm! ..... well in this case i guess "bigger is better"!

sounds like it is more suited for better throttle response.

I've posted this before, but...

65mm=2.56" = 5.15sq/in = 480cfm
62mm=2.44" = 4.67sq/in = 435cfm
58mm=2.28" = 4.08sq/in = 381cfm
56mm=2.20" = 3.8sq/in = 354cfm
52mm=2.05" = 3.3sq/in = 308cfm

Going from stock 56mm to 62mm is an increase of flow of ~18%. I see what you are saying about the neck area, but it also starts to widen in that area, so the cross-sectional volume becomes larger than the 62mm.

I will get a flow bench of the ported 3.4l upper intake if it’s needed. I figured someone already has but if not it will be easy to do.

I am sure the difference of 3mm is going to be used on a well-ported upper from a 3.4l. That said the reason for a 65mm billet throttle body is a plan for the very near future that will require bigger flow.

Okay, it's done. I'm waiting to get one so I can put it on the non-function car, but otherwise it should be ready to go. Pictures soon to come.

Finally more products...

So they will sell the 65mm throttle body with a matched UIM?

In my reading it also apears they have a TB now for the 3500. Does this mean as well that they will sell a 3500 UIM that can bolt up to a 3400 LIM?

Yes he will have a matched UIM. And yes there will be 2 versions, one to mount to the 3400 UIM and one to mount to the 3500 UIM.

I'm pretty sure it will look quite a bit different.... same functiontionality, so how different can it get?

Find a way to have both. You only live once and really what is wrong with having a little adventure sell your house and live in a trailer with all 5 of your very cool cars.
