I'm not going to the track if that is the plan. That's too damn far for such a short time, Capital will be packed to the ass on a nice Friday night, plus there's too damn much traffic at that time.

I decided I won't be coming down. I'm exhausted from working 14 consecutive days and not up to a 4hr drive. Plus, I will be in Baltimore anywayz next weekend. Have fun everyone.

I guess I'm not going either cause I still don't have any information on were we are going to meet on saturday and I'm not coming down tonight cause thats a little far to go from calvert county. If some one would give me some details on what is going on saturday then I would be game.

Well I was still planning on going, until my dad took the minivan I STILL don't have my Grand-Am back, and now I'm waiting on him to get back here so I have something to drive Damn Grand-Am being broken all the time! My aunt has one of those. '99 Midnight blue GLS model. Well, at least you'll still be driving a vehicle with a 3400 in it.

Saturday won't work at all for me. Volunteer work to attend to both that day and Sunday. So basically, i'll be working.

holy crap i'm back on ! sorry for not being around for the last week or two ya'll but this peice of **** in front of me hasn't been cooperating. problem still ain't fixed but i'm able to sneak in now..i headed up to capitol friday night on the off chance someone might be there, but no other grand am's were in sight ( unless you we're in the staging lane ). my bad..

I don't think anyone went, other than you, I left my house at 4:30pm and got a flat before I hit the Key Bridge. I got the spare on, and I tried to get it plugged, but there is no hole(it's just slowly leaking, I think it might be that bend in my rim.) Anyways, by that time I didn't feel like riding down there, especially since it seemed from the messages that no one was going.

My dad got back with the van at 7:30, and by that time I decided everyone who did go would've been gone

Is your car running? I remember along time ago(2 months or so) you told me you had some problems, was it the DHP then?

Nope shes not running right now
Well around Easter I drove to IL, and it was fine the drive there and back.
Went to the track that Friday, and sprayed for the first time, and I got some good times, but at the end of the night I was hitting like 16s spraying, the next day it started coughing/not accelerating, and then a week later it starts not accelerating at all over 2500 rpms, and stalling out.
So took it to the dealership, they told me I had a bad o2 sensor, replaced the O2 sensor there and got an O2 sim.....didn't fix anything, so took it to my speedshop. They swapped spark plugs, wires, coil packs, etc, etc, rank the car open headers, couldn't find anything wrong w/ it. So we think it's the computer, so I ordered one from SHP 4 weeks ago.
I was going to just order the standard PCM for an 02 SE, but he said that for basically $100 extra I could get the SE v 1.1 they had out (the same program as the GTs except for the SEs), so I ordered and am waiting for it to come in. Hopefully thats whats wrong, and will fix it. They've gone over everything else in the car, so I'm just praying! The car idles greeeeeeat and will run under 2500 rpms great, but then over that it starts jumping/wont accelerate and stalls out.

How did this thing go anyway (to those who went)? I couldn't have made it at all because I had to pick a few people up from the bus station Friday evening and Satuday and Sunday I was doing volunteer work. I'm tired as hell. I can say that i've worked Mon-Fri. plus Saturday and Sunday full time.

Thank you. I bought my car last July and loving every minute I can drive it. I have already been to Capital to see how it runs. I put an exhaust on it and of course a K&N filter.

Actually my husband and I were just thinking the same thing. He has a hopped up Grand Prix GT. We were going to try to get his group Grand Prix Club and my group Grand Am GT club to do a Capitol night. We are actually looking to go either the 2nd or 3rd week in September. That way its cooler for the ram airs.

That sounds cool, let us know when you guys are going, we'll try to get a huge mess of pontiacs up there, maybe domestics could actually out number the imports for a change.
