They might as well as wait till the next platform they devlope a few years down the line and incorparate the 2 door variant into that fame's developement.
I was under the impression a 2 door 300C was a year away, so it would be natural for there to be Charger 2 door. The coupe was a rumor, but it had validity to a certain degree. Does anyone know for certain of a 2 door 300C in the pipeline?

"The source also indicates the auto maker is toying with the idea of launching a 2-door version of the Charger, as well as a 4-seat convertible, based loosely off the Chrysler Hemi C concept vehicle that debuted at the 2000 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

“I’ve seen some mock-ups, but I’m not sure if it’s been given the green light,” the source says."

Well from reading that all we can tell is that Chrylser/Dodge went "Shizer! the original was a 2 door but the platform is a 4 door, people will want the 2 door, what would a 2 door look like?"

1) A mockup isnt even made on a tested frame, it's only supposed to look the part and not acualy stand up to the forces that would act on it.

2) We know that the platform won't be used for convertibles even though that was also mentioned.

3) Can you immagine a 2-door that would look good based on the current platform, with the proportions of the current veichles a 2 door would just look akward if you think about it. It's easy to say "It should be a 2 door" but when you really think about it, it wont look good on the current frame built specifically for 4-doors. (yes it looks possible with that convertible 300C chop, but that doesnt take into account any structural integrety)

on another note: when my 6.6l engine was made gas was $0.30-0.60, as far as I know; As much as I welcome and applaud automakers for putting larger and larger V8s with more torque and hp into current cars, makes me wonder alot how they're just disregarding increasing gas prices. ::shrug:: O well, I still vow to be the last arsehole driving a 5.0 or above musclecar when gas is $10/Gallon.

A 2 door 300 would look ridiculous, that car is waaaay too long to have just 2 doors. Chrysler does need a two door car to compete with the Mustang and GTO though. lets just hope it isn't unnecessarily big like the 300 is.

Those are much better than I could have ever imagined! The coupe looks a little like a Mercedes CL from the side, but the cars still look too long. I guess if you want a 4 seat coupe/convertible they can't be more spacious than these two.

I did and I mentioned it, as far as I understand those are just photoshoped. Even if those were actualy made they are missing serious structual support. I was talking about an actual practical one that they could produce. We know for a fact there won't be a convertible, and any coupe will have in my opinion an akward B-Pillar and then some.

That's pretty nice for an aftermarket custom job, the west coast customs guys chopped it pretty good, xpt all they can do is add tons of woofers and lcds everywhere, there was like 1 eisode where they actualy touched the engine and thats cuz the POS wasnt running. I bet if that car takes a bit hard of a drop from anything it'll bend in the middle.

When was the last time a cop pulled you over and let someone run around him taking pictures all over?

i think it was staged

that car was made for the 2004 SEMA show in Vegas...but you're right, they probably didnt touch the engine, but who cares...WCC isnt a performance shop, they sell rims/stereos/custom interiors...stuff for show cars

you wouldnt take a Dodge Charger to a Mopar shop and ask for 20"s and an Alpine stereo would ya?

hey mike, did you give the impala ss back in 94 so much crap when it came out?

or the monte carlo?

or the impala again in 2000?

the GTO is the first re-do of a muscle car that holds true to its heritage....and hey, its not claiming to be the judge. like you said, the GTO's wern't the most aggresive cars back then, why should they be now...the GTO was a pretty dull looking car its first few years. i think pontiac greatly improved the looks and performance of the GTO for 05 too. the GTO is faster than the 300c too, its the srt8 thats the same speed. and im sure sharing the same drivetrain as the corvette, there will be TONS of mods for the ls2, which is probably pretty de-tuned like the original ls1

i love the 2 door 300c, but the "charger" is UGLY.

No I'd take that Charger to Mopar and make it fierce; and thats the only place one should take a Charger :-P I would not further disrespect the Charger name by weighing it down with 400lb of audio equipment.

Edit: That 300c got pulled over for no tags, no way in hell could it be capable of speeding after it got pimped.

Edit: I wanna see a Charger that leaves Foose's shop

PVT Murphy, are you sure there is noo substance to the rumor of a 2 door? Are the photos just touch ups? The coupe looks like too much has change to just be a touch up!

if you take a look at the coupe (not the WCC ones) you can see that the B-Pillar is missing compeltely). I forgot where I saw it but someone said it was a photoshop job. Even if it's not and really is a prototype that GM made, in the article on the 300C thread (see quote in above post) it said they were only toying with the idea of a 2-door so I doubt they have a solid 2-door frame as of yet.

The WCC job looks like they just plain 'ol cut off the top, and replaced the rear doors with some sheetmetal because front doors are the same length as the 4-door. The back of that car is just more eletronics junk that they couldnt fit in the trunk.
This picture gives you a good idea of that http://www.westcoastcustoms.com/Sho...mber=21&car=300
I don't know how i feel about the fact that they replaced the rear veiw mirrors with cameras as of yet.

I for one refuse to accept a 4 door charger and hope they will have a 2-door, probably in the next generation they will.

GM does not produce Chrysler products. Daimler/Chrylser does. The same company that makes Mercedes.
