I like it as a car, it looks great, I just don't feel it deserves/lives up to the Charger name yet. Give it any other name and I'll say it looks great and has great specs.

Edit, some how the rear end(from the side) and a few other lines really remind me of the 2005 Mustang.

50 Cent Makes Pitch to Get 2006 Charger

01/18/2005 8:19 AM, AP

DaimlerChrysler AG is getting another boost from the hip-hop world, this time in the person of 50 Cent.

The top-selling rapper says he is impatient to get his hands on the 2006 Dodge Charger, a four-door update of the classic muscle car that is debuting at the North American International Auto Show now under way in Detroit. It goes on sale in the spring.

"I need to know what I gotta do to get that Dodge Charger first. I need that," 50 Cent told Myles Kovacs, publisher of auto customizing publication Dub Magazine, in a telephone message last week made available to The Detroit News.

Chrysler is rushing to get 50 Cent what he wants, as it did last summer when rapper Snoop Dogg asked Chrysler division chief executive Dieter Zetsche for a Chrysler 300 sedan. The Snoop Dogg connection brought the automaker welcome cachet in the youth market.

The company allowed Snoop Dogg to use several of the sedans for a music video from his new CD.

Chrysler has been savvy about how it has approached the hip-hop community, letting the artists find it rather than chasing after endorsements, Kovacs said.

"That's worth more money than any advertising you could do in the marketplace," he said.

They should remind you of a mustang. They are both reminiscent of circa 1970 trans am cars.

i bet you thats what the SRT-8 coupe will look like (minus the racing stripe, and black roof)...but as far as wheels, stance, brakes, and flat out bad ass-ness...that's it!

Yes, but Daimler-Chrysler will make more money on the 4 door. 4 doors sell more than coupes.

The damn car is aimed at the people who owned the car back in the late 60's....who now happen to have families. It was the logical thing to do.

Yeah I know, still a mistake though. Sell it as a sports car and it would more than likely kill the Mustang. (Although it is pretty big)

How'd I know a moron like you would post a reply to that. A Mustang would not hang with a Hemi powered Charger coupe.

I know you wouldn't have even bothered to respond if I would have said it would kill a Camaro, but since they're not produced anymore that's a moot point.

I think they're a few decades off; They had the car in the 60's, had a family, kids went though college and are out of the house and now; 40 years later; they'd prolly want it as the coupe they remeber it as.

Two doors, Four doors whatever, that is still an extremely ugly car. I wouldn't say that a two door hemi would absolutely kill a new mustang GT, it would probly beat a pre-2005 Mustang pretty good. It only has 45 more horsepower but is much larger, heavier, and less aerodynamic. Now if they put the 6.1 hemi in it then there would be no contest!

It would be a close race. The 300C posts a 13.9 1/4 mile time. At least according to motor trend.

Hemi 425 horsepower

New Cobra Mustang.....465 horsepower minimum!!!!!

There are more Ford fans than Mopar fans out there........please note car sales count as the votes......one has been made for 40 years the MOPAR MUSCLE has been dead until the germans bought them.

Easy there, Mopar muscle has been alive and well since 1992 when the Dodge Viper first appeared. A case can also be made for the turbo Stealth, but since it was a 3000 GT we'll let that one go. It is true that Chrysler performance disappeared in the 80's but everyone's suffered. I would say that a mid 80's Camaro, Firebird, or Mustang would be put to shame by all but the weakest cars sold in 2005. We don't yet know what the new Cobra's HP will be for sure but somewhere between 300 and 500.
