Yeah I can understand why they do that but if I am listing 1/4 times and stuff I dont see the problem but I dont make the rules so I just guess I have to follow them

They say slip posting is ok, so just post the slip, and say which number is which.

So....if I say I went to a drag show and said a GA there got beat by a Z28 by 5 seconds on the 1/4, would my post get deleted or closed?

On a lighter note and on topic...making a Grand Am fast on a budget is hard. Only thing I can think of for parts is the Civic intake and making the car lighter (remove rear seats, but a 2 door car instead of 4 door, remove spare tire and the 500lb speaker system in the trunk ).

Not sure, I don't make the rule. I'm sure if I said ("If I said"), not going to beat my Z28 by 5 secs. It would, but for all I know it might just for what you said.... Don't know.

Not a mod.

I think if he had worded his racing thread different and said it was at a drag strip it would probably would not have been closed. There are comments all the time on here about hypothetical situations like could a GA beat this car or that car, and they are left alone. He wasn't even describing an actual race as far as I can tell, he was just asking a hypothetical and got punished for it. I didn't get to see any replies as when I found the thread it had just been closed. So if anything he learned how to properly word his threads for future reference.

I would repeat how it went, since I talked about drag strip racing (for the record I'm not talking about racing right now, I'm talking about talking about racing) right before it was closed. And I don't think anyone had time to comment. But if I did that then this thread would be deleted, or atleast 50 of the posts, or whatever was deleted out of the one I was in earlier.

A friend of mine almost got killed in a street race, he was racing his V8 stang. (16years old, and is partens bought him a GT stang?) but anhew, he was racing and it came up on a sharp turn, and he hit some gravel and the car fishtaled, and went sideways into a power pole. He was in ICU for 2 weeks. Thats why I never street race, and thats also why my mom doesnt like "proformance cars" to much and for good reason.

ps. this thread will be deleted in 5...4...3...2...

There is a thread here where i asked about a RSX Type S and how fast it was and if i had a chance. I worded it right and it was left alone. I also found out that RSX Type S's arent all that and arent any faster than a GA 3400 stock for stock.

If your gonna ask about things like this keep it track related (even though secretely it isnt).

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

Forums shouldn't be based for money though. If you want money, sell a product, not a chat service (posting service).

time is money!!! what did that have to do with sponsors?

meaning he doesnt have time to sift thru a thread to decipher which is street and which is track!! i am sure the mods dont monitor threads for a living? they also have jobs u know!!!

On a budget you can make an RSX or an RSX type-s faster than a grand am for less amount of money due to the fact of all the market gearded towards "import" tuning right now. On a lighter note the RSX Type S is just as quick as the Grand Am GT but I think the RSX has more potential right now

The Type S is quicker, just not much quicker than a GAGT. Intake, headers, and exhaust should be enough power to put one in its place.

Intake, headers, and exhaust just to beat a car that runs only 0.3 of a second quicker in the 1/4 mile than the GAGT??? Intake alone would put you right with a RSX Type S. Speaking from experience. I two friends with the type S
