Chris, if I were you I would take deposits from the people who want the kits.

Stattama would need the car for roughly a month, since the GA is my fiance's ride I don't think she would like me doing that hehe.

Hehe if I can convince them to do that, thats a GREAT idea Although I would like to do this as cheap as possible so not a ton of R&D gets built into the kit price

It is a different casting. It would not work with our setup.

If there's a free kit involved for the donator, I would be willing to buy a beater for $500 and let them take a crack at my car

Magnuson's reply!!!!

Thank you for your interest in our products, but I regret to inform you that
we do not have any future plans to reproduce the Grand Am supercharger
system. We had over 300 customers interested in the package when the first
18 kits were released. It took us 4 months to move 18 kits which proved to
us that the market is just not there. We have changed the Grand Am tooling
for use with different kits to help rescue a complete loss and no longer
have any parts or manifolds. The only way I could help you at this point is
by building a custom supercharger. Fabrication, calibration, and
engineering of the complete kit would be in your hands. The custom MP62
runs between $1200-$1500.

Subject: 1999-2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE/V6 with 3400 SFI
Importance: High

You guys discontinued the Magnuson M62 supercharger for this application.
Most likely the reason was lack of demand.

Well at the time the average 1999-2000 Grand Am GT retailed for 13k-19k.
Currently these cars can be purchased used for 6k-9k.

Obviously this has a huge impact on order capability and desire to purchase
such a kit. These blowers were offered thru the GM Dealer's as the SCT
package.

I have many fellow Grand Am enthusiasts who want one of these supercharger
kits! Only 8 kits are owned by www.grandamgt.com members. Our average
member is between the ages of 18-26 and is male, which is a prime market for
the automobile performance aftermarket industry.

What I am wanting to find out is :

1) Is there a potential the Magnuson will reconsider manufacturing the M62
kit for the N-body GM vehicles (Malibu, Grand Am and Alero)
2) Can we purchase what materials you have in stock (if any) on this
application?
3) Does magnuson still manufacture the Supercharger Drive Shaft and Mounting
Brackets for this application?
4) Do you sell the m62 Blower core separate...if so what is the price?
5) What remaining components need to be manufactured to produce kits for
this application? I have someone I believe that is capable of mass producing
the need Supercharger Outlet piece that is between the supercharger and the
throttle body.

WE GRAND AM OWNERS WANT A M62 KIT!!!!

To date the best 1/4 mile time with a m62 blower, intake, and exhaust for
the grand am is 14.1! That is very respectable!!! Our few members that own a
kit thank you guys for allowing Grand Am GT > GTP's!

Mike
