Kinda seems like a rude/brush off sort of response.

I recieved mine today. Man, these look FANTASTIC. The outside cover is "ribbed" just like stock GT tails. They even came out with bulbs installed! All you have to do is unplug the old one and plug new one in. That's it. I will post pictures tomorrow during the day.

Well looks like the socket for the pass side brakelight is kinda loose, the tabs inside are loose and they are not holding the bulb well. It will come off while I drive. Other than that, I am happy with these. I am gonna contact TYC about this.

UPDATE: Just got an e mail back from TYC, and here is what they had to say.

"We have identified the issue and are currently working on the
solution. The bulb does become loose after 5 min use with the lights on
either brake or park function. As soon as we have a fix for this, we
will notify everyone. Thank you."

Son of a whore. I just bought some this morning and now gagt.com is back online and I learn they have a problem... what luck! Oh well, I'm sure a solution will come to light or one of you crafty bastads will think of something.

Oh, and 02andahalfgt, I got that same response.

LOL, I saw that matrix racing hit up ebay selling the TYC's and trying to get like 250 out of em so I figured.. "what are they smoking?" and sent em an email...

"Why would anyone pay $250+ on lights they can get for $190 from a couple different sources?

His reply was as follows...
"Since the market rate of the Depo and IPCW ones were $250-$280, we priced it there. You can't get these other brands much less. Otherwise, as a dealer, they won't sell them to you anymore (for 'ruining' the market). TYC, perhaps, as they have no enforcement of minimum pricing, so anyone can sell near cost. Which sites do you see this? I did a search on google and didn't find them.

thanks,

Alex
Matrix Racing "

Hmmm... funny. Check out ebay, they are now down to $199 through Matrix.

I would also like to just say, these tails are by far the nicest Grand Am tails I have seen. The pictures that Yun posted of them dont do much justice, becuase in person, they look like they belong on the car, they are simply amazing.

thats my story of the day
