Nice! You can see your car and you can see the time at the end (even though it's short). Thats all that you need.

Thanks everyone.

Quality is pretty ****ty, cuz I don't know what i'm doing. First time messing with reducing the size of vids so I can post...LOL. Another reason for the short length. The one on my comp is 22 MB.

Going to the track today (14*C!!!). Taking the camera too. I've removed all TM (as you can tell from that vid, it wasn't). I'll post a new vid, maybe get a longer vid. Hopefully get a good vid of my buddy with a turbo GTP (T60!!).

Yes I shift a 6800.

My results today: <== edit: not today, it was actually Saturday

13.991 @ 99.13!!!

I posted the link to the time slip somewhere on this site

I will post the vid, even though you can't read the times But you can hear how crappy my second gear is now all of a sudden. Not sure what the problem is, but could be tuning or transmission related.

I wouldn't expect the motor to last long shifting that high with stock internals. With the piston stroke and rod ratio on a stock motor, that will cause extremely high piston speeds and side loads at that rpm. That's 1000rpm over the stock redline. I only run mine to 6300 and I'm thinking of lowering it to 6100 just because the power starts dropping off after that.

For near 7k rpm it would be better if you could decrease the stroke. At least you'd be better off with a knife edged and balanced crank, better bearings and rod bolts, and forged rods and pistons.

I'll be building up the bottom end in a year or so. Maybe I'll increase the compression ratio (maybe, still undecided on this one... ).

Currently, my power doesn't drop off after 6200 rpm. It continues to stay fairly steady (not increased). For the track, I run it that high, so my next gear is in the powerband (around 4200 rpm).

The 3400 will have no problem keeping together all the way up to 7k. Just have to be sure to keep the crank well oiled (i.e. over 40 PSI oil pressure). Stock redline in the GA is based on the transmission, NOT the engine. Maximum rated input speed for the trans is 6200 rpm. Exactly where redline is on the tach. Gotta love GM for this one. This is also a reason why a manual would be so much better, reliable higher rpm shift points.

Xonelith, I don't know how your trans has kept together with those high shift rpms. But since you are now starting to have problems with it, it doesn't look to be to long.

I've been expecting tranny problems since I got HPTuners and removed all TM Also keep in mind this is my daily driver and I have put around 35000 km's on the car since the install (5 or 6 track days included).

However, I'm not sure my problem is transmission related. 1st and 3rd are fine and 2nd seems ok until it gets warm (even though tranny temps pretty much stay below 190*F...reason i'm confused). The car seems to surge 2 times sometimes 3 through the gear at WOT.

I'll be posting the vid later tonight.

Thanks!!

I have been wondering that. I have the same problem after a few days from a computer reset.

Xonelith reset your PCM and see if the problem goes away? If it does then it is not mechanical, just the PCM.
