Midwest/East Coast Fall Get Together - Page 5

I would be game for Cleveland but that is a 6hr drive for me, so you IL, PA people are not getting as big of a break as you think

We have to do something for the people like DD and I don't need to spend a few hundred at the bar, I have done it before with a smaller group of people.

We can hit bars/clubs stuff like that, but hopefully they let people 18+ in and mark the 21+ to drink.

Like the others, would need a person or two to split room cost, I will bring stuff to camp out on the floor (aka where I pass out)

I was under the impression that the "flats" were mostly closing down, so theres not much activity down there anymore. I could be wrong so i'll double check. Also i'm sure that we can get some kind of discounted rate for cedar point. I think their rate during that period is only $25.95.

...this could be fun, but i don't know if i'll be able to make it... two trips to the midwest would put a serious strain on the funds... plus, last month when i was out there i almost got stranded in Milwaukee when the car wouldn't start... i'm not gonna chime in on a place cuz i'm gonna play this by ear... i guess once a date and location is set in stone i'll make a go or no go decision...

I dont think the flats are closing down

you wont find any cheap hotels downtown, well maybe in october since its off season.

well we can leave the poll up til early next week give some more people an option to vote and then next week the winner will be choosen and I will start working on planning it...

just remember the norwalk T&T is on a friday night not saturday night.. so people will have to take off work friday.. cool with me but just making sure everyone knows.

Could be cheaper, unless he knows something we don't

During track events when the booths are open they sell 1pd cups of ice cream (choice of 8 flavors) for $1. I makes sure to get 2 or 3 whenever I am there for Pontiac Nationals.

Sanduskey has some cool stuff there too, a go kart track that doesn't care how intoxicated you are, indoor water park, and a few cool bars too.

Sanduskey is 10 minutes away from Norwalk

I would be down to go to a meet if it wasn't to far. It would be nice to cruise with some people on the way to the destination... just in case, so I don't get lost. I just have to check about getting off work for that weekend. Cedar Point is easy for me to get to because I have been there a couple times.
