Don't quote me on it but I think the 70-73 were 18 gallon, 74-81 were 21 gallon, and most third gens were 14-15 gallon. My 3rd gen actually gets about 30mpg on the highway, but depending on how much horsing around you're doing it can get as little as 12-15mpg. That's with TPI and a manual tranny, probably a little less with an automatic, TBI, or carbureted.

oh yeah, the only thing that sucks is trunk space, especially on third gens cause they're a hatchback style and a little shorter. And if you have t-tops and put them back there, well, you're done.

I wish it wasn't gheyazz mr. Pheeny though. Now that i know that... i dunno..
I watch it a couple times a week... if you got a Knight Rider TA then it would have to be done up like KIT. ... tough act to follow, so go with Bandit

There's a company that for 30 grand will get a TA and do it up like KITT/KIFT for you. Or you can DIY but the exterior/interior will run about 3-4k, + paint and wiring.

If I was ever going to do a KITT car I think I'd do the exterior and leave the interior alone, but that's just me.

I would never get that steering wheel, nor would the interior be worth it unless you plan to compete in shows or something, not like there arent a bunch of those out there already.

Airwolf, built that model when I was like 12. Blue Thunder is cool too tho. Blue Thunder made a good game.

I think Steve McQueen and his Bullitt car would be able to put up a good fight against all mentioned.... He may have to side swipe ya into a gas station to assure victory tho!!!!

Bandit would have to get my pick vs. Knight Rider, Hasselhoooof and Kitt would have no chance against a psychotic drunk Burt Reynolds and his keen skills of driving thru densly populated parks and sidewalks.

MUST NOTE : Nash Bridges would lose to all comers, he is a b1tch. General Lee would get the Bandit by a hair, and the Bandit would be able to stay out in front of Bullitt, which would walk Knight Rider.

Airwolf would blow Blue Thunder outta the water.... Even tho Stringfellow Hawk was queerbait.

OUT!

I think the Dodge or even the Ateam van, with all of the crew members and a skank for Faceman, would kill the boat, especially in fast forward (so the boat can look fast)!!!!

Now imagine these shows being the ones you grew up on...

Dukes of Hazzard was the shiot ! And for some of us that were avid fans, there was one that would kick the crap outta all those mentioned above..... Anyone remember "Auto Man"?

You know, the car that made turns in right angles so fast that the tires even forgot to slide... Now that was wicked......

BJ and the Bear,... I think that Kenworth woulda kicked some serious butt.... Maybe Michael Jackson and Bubbles coulda had a throw down, but Bear woulda kicked Bubbles arse....
