When did the liking of the car end for me? Was it the first or second set of warped rotors? Or was it those pesky regulators that scratched up both of my windows? The dealer was kind enough to fix that problem, however "GM bull**** warranty" didn't cover new windows, so I have those lovely lines to look at! Or was it that my SES light came on at 15,000 miles and the dealer ended up having to tear apart my transmission to replace a valve body that was stuck open. Did I mention it was there a week for that, must have been the equivilant to heart surgeury! Maybe I quit liking my car after the LIM was leaking at 17,000 miles? It has a wet ring around the LIM AGAIN (back to the dealer before warranty is up for that one). Maybe it is this clunking noise coming from the front suspention of the car. I have had both strut mount changed, TWICE! It fixes the problem for about 5,000 miles at a crack. Like this car? It gives me no reason to. My friends have all labeled it "the bubble gum car" because that what is feels like it was put togeather with. I plan on pawning it soon. No way am I keeping this timebomb after the warranty is gone. Did I mention it only has 22,000 miles on it and I change my oil every 2,000 miles and change every fluid on the car once a year. I have a 1990 Chevy Celebrity station wagon with a 2.5 liter iron duke and 127,000 miles on it and a 1991 Chevy Caprice (soon with a 383 stroker) and 61,000 miles and both of them feel better build and more solid than the "bubble gum car" I also anticipate far fewer problem with either of those 2 cars, and they are at least a decade older.

I keep the faith that one day the General will "get it right" again!
They say history repeats itself, well I can't wait for the 1960's of cars from GM!!!!! Bring them on.

I'd buy a GTO and de-badge it untill I was ready to sell it. (I stil have a little problem with the name)

As for the dummy with all the problems on his GA that claims "GM" wouldn't fix his problems... (fo44rd) you should have taken it to another dealer. It is up to the dealers to do warranty work, if one won't do the work that does not mean ALL of them won't.

As far as not liking your car.. you only have yourself to blame since YOU BOUGHT IT. You claim to be so clever at praising Ford and hating GM... why didn't you buy a Ford instead?

Off topic.

Might wanna ditch the Fram filter. Seriously that is the worst air filter you can put on your car. It's pre-clogged.

Why do people talk over the internet about cars on a Grand Am forum under "Other Cars Makes and Models"? Makes no sense whatsoever, and people always see eye to eye so I don't understand why people argue.
