You miss that part? Relax, I'm not tearing up the high-revving powerplants, they make amazing amounts of power for their size. Tight tolerances or not, the more revolutions something makes, the more it will wear, I'm pretty sure thats a basic fact of physics that won't ever change. Is the trade-off of rpm for power and effieciency worth it, apparently, because Honda's had great sucess with it. Do I want that type of motor, no thanks, but thats just me. Again, relax it's just an opinion.

Of course the mustang has tons of aftermarket too, I just don't like the mid 90's looks. Besides, it has a blue oval.

Whats wrong with the Blue Oval? They have been better to me then any GM.

Just playing around. If I didn't drive GM's, I'd probably have Fords. We had a Sable still going strong at 180k, and my dads company Tarus hasn't had a single problem in 70,000 miles.

I don't care what everyone else wants :P....I want a Tibruon GT 6spd. Ever since I saw then 2nd generation Tiburons...I have wanted one. Then the 03 3generations came out and i am torn between those two. But it doesn't matter because I don't have enough saved up yet to make my decision...soon though...sooner than I might even think.

I take a lot of crap for my screen name here, but in all my experiencesx with Fords they keep running with minimal breakage. I can honestly save I have NEVER been stranded by a Ford. At the auto parts wholesaler I use to work at they were towing in a Chevy or GMC every couple of weeks for breakage.

I don't do the stupid stuff, like neutral drops, driving it cold, rough downshifts, etc, but I do ask for full performance quite frequently. Ya know what, a 3.4 liter motor only making 170-200hp should tolerate making full power quite well, because its not a lot of power for the size of the motor. Should last a lot longer than demanding full power out of a smaller motor that produces signifigantly better power to size than the GA.

Here's an example of what I think about when I consider the Jap motors vs. the American powerplants. The Jap motor in an RSX makes like 20% more power than a stock GA, but its like 40% smaller. It would make sense that this would wearout faster than the bigger, lazier 3400. And thats why I like my American car, I can ask for all the big lazy motors got all the time, and it'll just keep serving it up. Asking for 200hp from 2 liters at 7500rpm all the time seems like asking for trouble, verses asking for 180hp from 3.4 liters at 4800rpm, which doesn't seem so bad. Just the way I look at it. Props though, to getting 200+ NA hp from 2 liters. Now, if they could just get the torque up!

If you every had to break down these engines and rebuild them I think your attitude would change. If I am not mistaken Honda has some of the tightest tolerance in the industry. Secondly, I believe they are the only only to use a forged crank on every engine they make.

3.0 Vulcan engine is about the only thing good Ford has reliabilitywise, it could be compared to GM's 3800 for reliability. I have a 90 Probe with 155K miles, engine is strong tranny died and was replaced recently, Japanese transmission. It will my last Ford car.

Yea, the ford 3.8 headgasket is as bad our LIM deal, but a lot worse to fix. There FWD automatic trannies leave a lot to be desired.

NICE car. My office is now based out of an Infiniti dealership in Madison. Its dangerous. I could definately see myself in a g35 coupe, and they keep trying to get me in one. I'd do it, but I'm working towards a house- so after I get the house, I will get the G.

As for the FX- Ive driven the 35 and 45, and I could easily do with the 35- loaded with all of the toys- in black. Only thing I dont like about them is the huge amounts of blind spots that are present.

Unlike ours, Ford retroactively warrantied the head gasket on all those engines to 100,000 miles. Even if you had the work done already and paid for it, Ford cut you a check. They did it for all of them, but the Mustangs. Good luck getting GM to pay out for that crap LIM design!

And yes, none of the domestic seem to be able to build a FWD trannie! Must be rocket science!
