the key to beating a civic is in the begining and the end. civics are light and quick so there gonna get you right off the line at first. thats why you keep your reaction time as low as possible. then you just gotta punch it and let your torque rip that little civic 4banger into vtec sticker having shreds. on my old cavy i had a C-Tech decal on the side, all the civic owners thought that chevy made a C-tech to compete with honda. i was just like no my low Liter friends its a stock 2.4L.

P.S. another way to beat a honda is to take a 2Liter (about .4L more than a honda) of coke or pepsi shake it up and open it down the track. it will beat a honda 94% of the time only down side is they both sound the same going down the track. (brrrrrrrrrpppppppppppppdddddddddddddd....yes 16 seconds 1/4 mile)

what do you mean beat it by a little to about 80 mph? you mean you beat him in the 1/4 mile at about 80mph or he beat you in the 1/4 mile because he passed you after 80mph? i'm confused.

no i beat the truck... my friends dad has a quarter mile track...i can race people there whenever i want.... since nobody was there doing staging and stuff we just estimated the quarter... i stopped at 78 mph and had more than a car on him... there was no point in going any further... usually i hit like 84 in the quarter... so it was close to a quarter

$4/gal? I'm talking about premium, like 93-94 octane. Maybe $2.35 a gallon, but certainly not more than that. Besides, I perfer octane over ice for knock reduction, but maybe thats just me.
