bibi ,thanks for the info ,i'm gonna try it.but i'm gonna take my throttle positioning sensor off,add that stuff, then get my digital horsepower computer put in and hopefully i could get an after market dealer to put the code in.the hell with the extended warranty. if anything goes wrong ,they will void my warranty anyway, because of my mods so. but if the car still continues to slip, i guessi won't be racing at all this year. this morning i got on it, and when it got to the higher gears it felt like a little slippage.

i guess i'll be going to etown next month,to drag race,weather or not i'll be able to drive my car back to ct or walk to ct,is to be seen.just put in my dhp,and i want to see how fast it'll go.

Update on my tranny,1st things 1st ,the guy who designed this engine setup,is a moron.the reason why i say that is because there's no dipstick to check ur tranny ,so if ur low u won't know until it's to late.2nd I bought the lucas stop /slip put the whole container in and it still slips. called the dealer napoli,and complained about my tranny slipping.I asked the service person if my car was test driven they said yes,didn't notice a slip,but after picking it up drove down the road and it slipped. they wanted me to make an appointment,and pay more money if the tranny slipped.so i said i'll get back to them.then i called pontiac customer service numberin the back of the owners manual,told the guy my situation,he called napoli talked to the head service guy about my situation,then he conected me to him,and i'm supposed to bring my car in tuesday,and take some guy fort a ride to show him my tranny slips.I really don't see how they could void my warranty on my car for the tranny,because i added headers.Headers doesn't have nothing to do with the tranny.I'll argue that too,if it becomes a problem.

its all part of the powertrain. You change the way the engine runs, and in turn you can change the way the tranny acts. Disagree with me if you want, but this is what there gonna say. I hope you get everything taken care of, but it might be a fight. good luck man.

Tom,Im sorry that ur still having tranny problems,thats weird cuz the lucas tranny stuff work for my old car.I hope everything works out for u and ur car.good luck!!

Don't make a big deal out of having the mods. Play it cool and see what they can do... remember the warranty is not costing them anything. But the tranny is a pretty big expense so it would demand that an adjuster from the agency come and take a look at the car. Work with them and push them, they should be able to hook up a scantool to the PCM and it will code out tranny slippage. GM will make you pay for that, but you should be able to prove the slip with a simple road test. You have to be heavy on the gas as well to really show the slip. It would help to act like you know little about the car IMHO, but tell them a friend told you this and that. Also, PM Kmangt1, he has had his go thru the warranty w/ the sc, he should have some good advice.

And if GM won't cover it, look for a fresh 45 in a junkyard. And a local install shop that is not a disaster. I snagged one from a yard in the Bronx- 5k miles, and had the work done in Stamford to get it installed. The unit was $650, and the install was about the same, all was done for $1300 w/tax. The unit is still all right today 60k later (knock hard on wood).

made a phone call,might get a real good deal on my tranny work,with some upgrades added in.will have to wait till tommorrow,to see if the deal falls thru.

if all goes thru , i mght be able to find someone to put the case learn ,on my new dhp.then i might be able to get to englishtown next month to race.
