ROTC is the way to go. You are a direct commision officer, but you still have to earn your way there through the POC program, field training, and acedemics.

^good plan
I was in AFROTC for 2.5 years here. I loved it and everything was going as planned. Well one morning during PT, i had an asthma attack. The sergeant found out and he told me "I can't allow you to go to field training knowing this. You can either lie about it, which may not be good because you can get to Texas and if you have another attack, you and I would both be in big trouble, or you can get out of the course." Last year was my last semester.

I miss it. My brother is a Cpt. at Cannon AFB in New Mexico. He loves it, and I wish I could be in his shoes.

Why?

What's your SSN? Where do you live? Mother's maiden name? Credit card number? Pic of a paycheck stub?

I wasn't really asking for a specific$$ figure, just a ballpark. No big deal. Just curious. I suppose I could look up average salaries for your field if I really cared.

"I make 25$ an hour CASH at a car wash with a squeegie" <--- 17 year old guy

I don't do too bad myself, however, I don't make $100 grand, and I don't feel I am paid appropriatley for what I do, then again neither do my co-workers in my department (IT).

BTW... "I don't think that is an appropriate... " Are you ****ing kidding me? YOU appropriate ... have you read your commnets? I don't care or anything, not saying anything bad... just... whatever.

back to the topic of ROTC...

i had my interview for an ROTC scholarship over winter break. Granted, everyone who wants to can get into college ROTC, but not everyone gets a scholarship. And from what i've learned, the AF will pick me up sophomore year with a Class 2 3 year scholarship, due to my major (aerospace engineering). It's definatley the way to go, and like bob said....after 20 years, you get half your active pay as pension, plus pay from what ever civilian job you can get.

womp womp. the term "ralph" refers to a different, more comical and retarded member of this site, not Kyle.
