The car weighs 3600 pounds? Thats a hell of a lot! The interior still looks like a $20,000 base car and the non-auto climate control doesn't help that impression. Still, those are minor gripes and I would definately take this car. The price should be closer to 35 grand, not 40. I want a GTO-Cobra comparison. How bad is the Goat going to get whupped?

Sure they are, they are both four seat muscle cars in the 30-40 thousand dollar range with fairly similar horsepower numbers, both have 6 speed trannys and V8's. Here's some differences: one has independant rear suspension and one is supercharged. Find some more and tell me not to compare them. The comparison between the GTO and Cobra is closer than that of the GTO and the Mustang GT.

My parents own a Grand Am. Two of my friend's parents own Grand Ams. My cousin owns a Grand Am. I don't know anybody who owns a Mustang.

As someone who does not traditionally care for Mustangs, let me just say that that car is hot. Smokin-hot. It fixes everything that is so terribly wrong with the new 'stang front end.

P.S.:

OK I admit it is awesome. So is the GT, even the base Mustang is impressive for a base Mustang. Whew. OK. Now that I got it out of my system, I can continue to bash Mustangs and all other Ford products.
