Now that doesn't always equal a win as we've seen before. There's always that x-factor, which I see belichik being a huge one. But why are people just throwing them out the door???
no valid reasons? brady hasnt lost in the playoffs, ever, 2 super bowls in the last three years, brady with 2 mvps, coach bill matching vince lombardi's postseason record. back to back 14 and 2 seasons.. coming off rolling through the best defense in the league and shutting down the best offense in the league.

im not trying to be ****y or anything, but those i would say are very valid reasons as to why the pats are favored to win .

i try not to use the past to justify it, ive said it will be a tough game and it will thats all i know. and that if you do judge by the recent past, the eagles are outmatched

but being a true boston sports fan even with the pats i still know not to get ****y, some people however easily forget nightmarish pasts

and just because the eagles may have better stats at almost every position that doesnt mean they are better players, poise and leadership and intensity factor in

i think the biggest edge the pats have in any superbowl (besides coaching) is the best clutch kicker in the nfl

I wasn't really talking about your responses 99GA. You are never biased and usually give reasons as to why you believe something. About Mcnabb folding under pressure. I don't think he'll have nearly the pressure on him as he's had the past few weeks. I think this will be the easiest game in terms of pressure that he has played yet. The pressure the philly media and fans put on the team to win the fourth NFC championship game was huge. Most philly fans wouldn't be to disappointed if they lost this time in the bowl. That best clutch kicker statement usually works but not when Akers is on the field. I think they are both about equal in that department. Not that Akers has ever played in a Super Bowl, he still knows how to get things done.

they are equal in kicking, actually akers may have the edge, not in stats this season i dont think tho. but no one has made bigger clutch kicks then the Vman. but yeah, akers is a fantastic kicker and who knows it could come down to a FG either way

i bet the eagles players have a lot of pressure on themselves because they know winning the nfc championship wont be the same if they dont go on to win the bowl

i think if it comes down to a field goal, both teams should feel good about their chances

yea no kidding... just wait until after the super bowl... no football for like 6 months I just don't get into basketball as much as I used to and baseball is way too long of a season to start watching from the first game.

The pats have a good coach yes, but how soon you forget andy reid was named coach of the year (or maybe NFC coach of the year) 2 of the last 3 years now...the whole coaching staff is good. I dont agree pats have the edge in coaching I think its pretty even.

I hope the game is close, it will suck if we lose but I'm not too worried most of the major key players are already signed to long term contracts so the team will essentially be the same for the next 2-3 seasons. Ried was smart in trying to lock down the key guys to create somewhat of a dynasty

in the playoffs i feel the pats coaching staff is better than any other the past couple years, coach bill's 8 and 1 playoff record shows that

i just saw something on espn and jon gruden picked the pats to win.... we're screwed

Freddy Mitchell is an idiot. Who in their right mind would say crap about Rodney Harrison, especially since the only reason Mitchell is playing is because TO is hurt. not smart to supply the Pats with more motivation. You would never catch any Patriots player doing some stupid like that.

^ hes had an attitude all season. He wont be an eagle next season. I like Harrisons response though, more of a shot then Mitchells comment IMO. I hope Harrison hits him like Dawkins hit Crumpler last week. I like Mitchell but he gets on my nerves, he thinks he should be #2 behind TO, hes gotta earn it. But I dont think he'd shy away from getting hit like pinkston did several times. Thats about the only thing he has over Pinkston.

mitchell will be back...I really don't see what he said wrong???? He didn't say harrison was a bad player or anything. And he would be playin even if TO wasn't hurt. He was their third receiver.

Sayin he doesn't know the names of any of the secondary players for the Pats, then saying he has something special for Harrison? How do you not see anything wrong with it?

Go around the NFL...tons of players don't know the names of their counterparts. He knew their numbers which is all that matters on the field. It's just being blown up as usual by the media. And saying he has something special for harrison. He's just talkin himself up. Didn't say anything bad about him. It's not like he said they're mediocre or something. I still don't see it.

He wasn't saying saying he didn't know their names because he doesn't know who they are. He was saying that the Pats secondary are a bunch of nobodys. He was showing a lack of respect to them. I don't see why you would want to give the other team more motivation. Why would someone say they got something special for Harrison? Hes asking to be popped, real hard. Freddy Mitchell has no place to be talking about the defending super bowl champions. Him talking is almost as bad as Mike Vanderjagt. He has 2 td's on the season and 377 yards recieving. Him talking is equivalent to Earthwind Moreland (backup CB) talking crap about the Eagles receivers. He should keep his mouth shut and play the game. I'm sure Rodney can't wait to lay him out.

You think he'll be back? I'm not saying that because of his comment or actions throughout the season(if you watch the post game show on sportsnet u know what I mean) but because I think he wants more then what the Eagles can/will give, both PT and $$$ wise. Especially with greg lewis playing like has and getting a contract, not sure about pu$$y foot pinkys contract situation.

i dont care what mitchell said about the pats, its all hype anyways... but what i do know is he is overrated, and only by himself, everyone else really knows he is average at best

hel,l who knows, mitchell may end up being covered by a defense back who is a far better WR then he is, and i gaurantee he knows brown's name

And he still didn't get that right. He said "22, 25, and 37" The pats don't have a defensive back who wears #25, in fact, they don't have a #25 on the roster at all. If a medicore player is gonna talk shiot about other players, he should at least have his facts straight.

Harrison is gonna hit him so hard he won't even know where he is. And I guarantee it's gonna be a hit that costs Harrison a few thousand dollars. He loves paying the NFL.
