Installing HEADERS...O2 sensor HELP!!!!!

Well I started installing my S&S headers and everything was going real smooth...until I got to the rear exhaust manifold. I can't get either O2 sensor or the EGR pipe off!!!

So....any of you guys that installed your own headers have any tricks or tips to getting those off!!! Was there any certain tool that made removing them easier???

Spray with WD-40, or anti-sieze, be patient, repeat, try to loosen... If no loosen, start from the beginning

Yup, like he said, lots of penitrating oil, do you have a o2 sensor socket or are you using a pipe wrench?

I tried it with a regular wrench but I was going to go out tomorrow and buy an O2 sensor socket. What size do I need???

And how can I get the EGR tube off....it doesn't seem like there's enough room to get any tools in there

EGR Tube is the same size as the O2 sensor... And it is more like 20mm / 7/8"

Ah hell with it... Just use a 7/8"

Take the whole EGR thing off the UIM, and then you can take the mani's out of the car and get at the EGR pipe easier. just don't bend the EGR tube, easy to do. If it's stubborn, PB Blast > * . Dude just give me a call if you have any probs

it's easy to replace when its out of the car, its just a wise thing to replace the front o2 since there is a lot riding on it

Yeah, you can also try heating up the bung with a torch - just be careful not to burn anything (and wipe off the PB blast or WD40 first heh)

Lightning... how long have you been in the albany area?
