Headlamp sensor

Just curious, where is the auto headlight sensor - I thought It may be on back of the rearview but no avail.

I believe it is under the front windshield defroster vent on the Grand Am.

it's a PITA to get out and swap in a resistor. I almost dropped it into the dash. THAT would've really been a pain.

just take it out. take a metal coat hanger, cut a piece, and plug each end into each terminal. then close it off with some electrical tape.

and i did drop mine into the dash, and had to fish it out with a coat hanger.. it WAS a pain in the ass.
