directional tire mounting

Forgot to mark my 18's when I stored them for winter. Went to put them back on and can't remember whether the tread is supposed to go /\ or \/. I am assuming that it should be like /\ am I correct?

If the tire is directional, the sidewall should have an arrow that shows the directionality (is that even a word). The tip of the arrow should point towards the front of the car.

That's right! I knew there was an easy way to know. Thank you, sometimes it's amazing how easy a solution there is.

Then I am going to call the patent office and I'm going to copyright that word immediately. I will establish a PO Box where anyone using that word can send my royalties.
